Unexpected to Least Expected

Chapter 33~The countdown pt.2

*10:46am*

I take a shower and then get dressed in fresh clothes.

Kook walks with me to the livingroom. I push him away, "I can walk on my own."

He takes a step back. I feel pain again. I wince and hold my back. Kook quickly moves back to wear he was and holds me up.

"Ray she's having another one!" Ray quickly comes out of the kitchen.

She checks her phone for the time, "It's 11:13am last one was at 10:23. She's less than an hour apart. I think it's probably a good time to go. Anyone on board with that?"

I shake my head, "N-Not until i-it's 6 minutes a-apart." I get though the pain, "Okay it's over."

I start to walk back over to the couch. I sit down. Ray and Kook both stare at me. I take breaths, "Stop staring at me."

"Okay crazy. I'm gonna go get the car ready incase we have to leave." Ray leaves.

Kook walks over to the couch and crouches in front of me. He lays his hands against my thighs, "I need you to be ready for this."

I take a breath and give him a look, "Are you stupid. How am I gonna ever be ready to give birth, I'm just winging it."

"One don't call me stupid and two can you at least tell me that you are somewhat in the right mindset for what's to come."

I glare at him, "If you say one more stupid thing. I will name our child Soo-jin and you'll have to deal with the ecstatic Jin."

He nods, "Okay no more stupid things. Got it."

I lay back against the couch. Ray walks back into the house, "Okay cars packed and ready to go. Just waiting for the okay." She stands in the entrance.

I feel another wave of pain, "Aaahhh, oh." I breath through it.

"How long is it now?"

"It's 11:49. The last one was at 11:13, that's about 30 minutes apart."

The pain continues for longer than the others. I shut my eyes and breath through it.

Kook rubs my thigh, "I think we should go now."

I shake my head, "N-no. I-I can still g-get through it." The pain starts to slowly fade. I lay my head back against the couch and relax, "See everything is fine."

They don't look convinced. Ray sighs, "I still think-"

"No one wants to know what you think." I cut her off.

She scoffs, "I'll let you go for that one since you're not in the right mindset. I'm gonna wait in the car."

"Wait!" She looks at me, "Is Tae coming?"

She shakes her head, "He told me he won't be able to make it."

I sigh, "Thought as much." Kook rubs my thigh again. I look down at him and smile, "Thanks Kook."

He smiles back, "I'm not doing anything."

I nod, "I know." He laughs and stands up. He kisses my forehead and sits down next to me. I lean agaisnt his side.

I feel pain again, "Jesus fuck nugget. Ahhh. This fucking Bunny really hates me." I lean back up right.

Kook checks the time, "That's 10 minutes apart. 4 more to go."

I wait for the pain to end, "I swear to god, if you don't deal with her when she cries at night I will kill you in your sleep."

"Please stop threatening to kill me."

I wince, "It helps me deal with the pain."

"How?"

I wince again, "I don't fucking know. It just does, now stop complaining before I push you out the window."

"Okay how about we go to the hospital so that I can receive less death threats."

I take another breath. The pain slowly dies down, "We wait till-"

"No not anymore. We go now." He stands up.

I shake my head, "N-no. I'm not going now. If we go now then that means I'll be stuck in a hospital longer than I need to be."

He sighs, "Is that really the reason you don't want to go?"

"It's the one I'm sticking with."

"You do realize the longer we stay here arguing, the soon 6 minutes is going to come."

I give a sarcastic laugh, "So we both win. I get to complain about not going and you get to slowly bring me. Now please stop talking I need to concentrate on not doing anything-Ahhh."

Fucking hell.

Kook looks at me with wide eyes then at his phone, "That's 4 minutes. We missed 5 and 6."

"Well looks like we both don't get what we want today." He helps me up off the couch.

I breath through the pain, it's not too bad so I'm able to get to the car without too many issues.

I get into the backseat with Kook. Ray looks at us, "Is it time?"

I sigh, "Why would be in the fucking car if it wasn't time. Go."

"Yikes, okay." She doesn't wait another moment and drives away.
