Unexpected to Least Expected

Chapter 36~The agreement

*next day~3:20pm*

Only two more days of staying in this hospital room and the doctor said I'll be good to leave. Bunny gets the same schedule as me. In 2 days we get to both go home and sleep in our own bed.

Kook set up the guest room to be a nursery. He finished it about a week before I got to the hospital.

Even though she does have her own little sleeping area in the hospital. I've been cuddling with her. Kook's been in and out of the hospital which means I'm alone with Bunny a good amount of the time. She's really something. She's a very calm baby. She doesn't cry that much, which honestly suprises me because of how much I cry.

"So my little Bunny, what do you think is the plan for today? Do you think dada will come back soon so we aren't as bored. Yah? Hopefully." I say in a weird voice, she giggles at my tone. The door opens, "Look that's probably dada now." I look at the door and my happy face fades, "Tae?"

He walks in, "Hey. Ray told me I should probably come see you."

I fix my hold on Bunny so she's more steady, "Is that the only reason why you're here? Because Ray told you to be."

He shakes his head, "No." He sighs, "I know I've been a real ass the passed few weeks by not talking to you, but I just needed some time to process everything that's been going on."

"And?"

He sighs, "Well now I know it's really hard to move on from you." He laughs, "I really need you in my life y/n. Even if that means we're just friends and you get married to someone else. I just can't live without you."

I start to cry, "Why did you leave me? You could have stayed." He walked over to the bed and sits next to me.

He wipes my tears away, "I'm sorry I left. I'm going to try to stay from now on."

I smile slightly, "Thank you, Tae."

Bunny makes a little squeeky noise, which causes both Tae and I to laugh at. I look down at her in my arms. Tae puts his finger against her hand and she grips it, "Cute, she has your strong grip."

I laugh at that, "Wanna know something funny?"

"What?"

"I dislocated two of Kooks fingers from squeezing them too much while giving birth."

He starts to laugh, "Omg seriously. That's awesome. I know I should probably feel bad, but he's been such an ass to me that I can't help but find it hillarious."

There's a cough at the doorway. We both look. Fuck, it's Kook. And he most definitely just heard what Tae said.

I see Tae physically tense. His eyes are big. He swallows, "H-hey Jungkook." He stands up gently since his finger is still being held by Bunny's hand.

Kook walks over to the bed. I wait for his reaction. I get an unexpected one, he's smiling? "I'm glad you're here."

Tae gives a confused look, "Is this like last time where you say that you're happy to see me but internally you hate my guts?"

Kook laughs, "No I'm actually glad you're here. She's been wanting to see you for a while now. Although I still do partially hate your guts. But I can try and move on from that if you are up for an agreement."

"An agreement?"

Kook nods, "You can be around my girlfriend as much as you want, as long as you stop confessing your love for her. Also don't block her out, that's just an asshole move. You'll also have to be on night duty with Bunny for the next month."

"Oh. I like the sound of that." I agree.

Tae thinks for a moment, "You do realize that that means I'll have to stay overnight for a full month, right?"

Kook nods, "Do you agree with it or do you have other terms?"

Tae thinks for a moment. Then he sighs, "I guess I'm fine with it. Are you sure you'll be fine with me in your home for a full month?"

Kook huffs, "You're finished with your classes right?" Tae nods, "Ok well. I still have classes which means I won't be able to help around with Bunny. I need you to help y/n. Even if she thinks she can do it on her own, I know she can't. You'll be there working nights and days. You can have naps when you can fit it in."

Tae gives him a look, "You do realize I still need to work and sleep. That sounds terrible."

Kook laughs, "I'll pay you. Think of yourself as a personal nanny. What do you say?" He sticks out his hand.

"Can I get Saturdays off?"

"Sounds reasonable."

"Than I think I'll be fine with that." He shakes his hand.

"Wait I'm confused, what's happening?" They both laugh. They also don't explain to me what's going on, "I wasn't kidding, what's going on?"

"Oh, uh. Taes going to be our nanny. He'll stay in Bunny's room so that he can have an easy access to her overnight."

I lay back with Bunny in my arms, "Okay. Start catching up on sleep now, you're going to need it."
