25. New Work contract

Jane and I finished dinner  and she falls asleep. i clean up the kitchen and start packing my luggage for tomorrow.  I have to be at the airport at eleven which means I have to leave Jane's by nine thirty to check in. These new check in requirements suck.  I  hear a knock on the door. I  opened the door and its Samantha.  " Hi Maura is she awake. I need her to read this and sign it. "  " She is asleep but go wake her up. She will be happy that you came by. "  "Maura bring your cell phone,  I  want you to record it."  I  bring my cell to Jane's bedroom.  I  call out her name several times and she wakes up. "No not now, I am too tired and sore." She starts going back to sleep. " I got this Samantha."  I get closer to her ear. "Babe nani wants to talk to you get up." Jane wakes up. Maura you lying. Go get your medication for your hives that I keep extra in the night stand on your side."  "Aye Samantha I thought I was going to see you tomorrow what is wrong? Maura can't lie.  If she does,  she breaks out in hives."  " Oh Maura,  I am sorry I should of yelled at her or something to wake her up besides calling her name. "  "Its okay. The medication will take effect soon why do you want to have my cell?"  "Jane go ahead and record now. Jane Joey has asked me to give you a new contract to work full time at $35.00 per hour. He doesn't want his protege to get hurt anymore..its effective starting Monday . If you need to wait until Friday to start,  he is fine with that took.the percentage will stay the same. He wants you to quit the pizza parlor business. Read it and if you have any questions,  I will answer them." Jane  reads and signed it.  I picked it up.  I  turned of the video. " I am going to finish packing mu luggage is in the front room. I didn't want to wake you up. I have to be at the airport by nine thirty in order for me to rest enough for my morning final.  I will give you time alone. "  Jane looks at me and I nod.  " Thanks Maura," said in unison. I sit next to Jane and held her. Jane kisses me. " Samantha man this shoulder hurts even more than when I hurt myself in highschool playing softball. I hate to ask you but I need help and just finding out Maura has to leave earlier,  can you come earlier?"  " Jane of course I will be. I will be here early. I am going to go so you have more time with Maura without me around. I  will fax this to Joey and make you a copy of it. I will bring him the original on Monday." I kiss Jane good night.
" Maura I  will be here bright and early. Jane doesn't want to be alone too long. The doctor said to use ice and the heating pad sparingly. She is to take two of these tylenol every 8 hours for seven days. Will you stay the night? I will sleep on the couch too. "  " Maura I will stay but tonight is still your time. I  will go home, take care of the contract and return. You can sleep in her bed.  I will sleep on the couch. You can wake me up when you are getting ready."  " Thanks Samantha. She spoke with her family. PLEASE make sure she keeps my nani informed or Jane and I will be in trouble. yes. I do not like disappointing her. My parents are another thing." Samantha hugs me and leaves.  I go check on Jane and help her to the restroom.  "I asked Samantha to stay the night. I told her I would sleep in the bee, but she declined and will sleep on the couch. I don't want you alone babe." I help Jane up and pull up her panties.  " Thanks Maura.  I am so lucky to have you in my life again. please wake me up before you leave tomorrow and make sure I am awake."  I kissed Jane and nodded yes. I help Jane out of her clothes and put a tank top and shorts on her. I  hear a knock on the door. " I  just got her dressed for bed. You will have to help her pull her panties up too when you help up from the toilet. Yeah she is that bad. I am guessing you know where thr sheets and pillows are at. I need to get to sleep. good night. " Good night Maura."
