After Peter grabs his bag and jacket from the girls by the door we get outside as I look down at my costume shivering a bit at the cold air. We begin the short walk to my apartment.

"By the way you're alien isn't very accurate," he says.

"Oh tell me Mister "I've been to space" how do aliens look?" I ask mocking him a bit. He laughs.

"Like people, but they often aren't as pretty as you," he says casually. I feel my stomach flip and try to shake it away and change the subject, but I come up with nothing.

We are silent as we make the quick walk up to my apartment. Felicia and I don't live far from the frat houses so it's not hard to walk back and forth to parties. I quickly unlock my door. "Can I use your bathroom to change into my suit?" He says pulling his bag off his shoulders. I nod and point to the bathroom as I walk to Felicia's room. I open her closet and look around for her black cat suit just for giggles. Nothing. I flip through her clothes and see a long red dress with a large slit running down the skirt. It's plain, but very beautiful. I raise my eyebrows as I imagine this is the dress. I grab it and quickly run back to my room to fix my makeup and hair.

After five minutes I slip the dress on. It's much more than I thought. The slit is very high, though Felicia and I are the same size it feels like a lot for me. My legs feel so exposed. I text Felicia that I can't wear it. She sends back, "you got anything better?" I roll my eyes and take down my space buns. My hair is curly and unhinged. I try to fix it, but I can't brush it out without it causing more issues. I sigh and try to ring it out with my fingers which helps a little. I shouldn't have tried that new method for my hair. It really didn't help. I hear a knock on my door which causes me to jump.

"Stella I'm sort of already late can we hurry up?" Peter says as nicely as he can. I open the door and nod.

"Yeah sorry I was trying to-

I stop talking realizing Peter looks a little shocked. His eyes are glazed over as if he has some stars in them. I try to read his thoughts but it's blank. I give him a strange look and run a hand through my hair thinking he must find it as ugly as I do. "Umm Peter?" I question.

"Sorry," he says lightly clearing his throat. "You just, uh, look really great," he says sounding breathless. I raise my eyebrows a bit trying to ignore it.

"Thank you," I say lightly. I glance at his suit and smirk a bit. He looks really nice too. A basic black suit, however he's paired it with a dark purple button up. No tie just a couple buttons undone. "You look very nice too," I add trying not to be awkward. He smiles lightly. I walk over to the door and put my keys in my purse. I turn and see him staring at me. "Are we going?" I ask. He nods quickly.

"Yeah um, it's kind of far and i thought i was going along so, uh," he glances at the slit and then the window.

"Peter I can't swing in this thing," I retort. "I'll show all of New York my thong," I add in protest.

"Well it's in Midtown so," he says casually rubbing the back of his neck. I sigh.

"Can't we uber?" I ask. He looks at me like I'm stupid.

"In the city at this time? Come on Stella don't be an idiot," he says in a cocky manner.

"Don't call me an idiot," I snap back quickly.

"I'm sorry, but you know that's not an option," he says. I sigh and cross my arms.

"Well then I guess Spider-Man is going alone because I can't swing in this dress."

"Then take off the dress," I hear Peter laugh to himself. I widen my eyes and give him and angry look. He makes eye contact with me losing his smile with wide eyes and a red flush coming across his face.

"No no that wasn't supposed to-

He stops talking as I push past him into my room. "Stella! I'm sorry it's a joke," he says trying to laugh it off.

"A disgusting one."

"Coming from the Girl That wondered if I was a virgin," he says moving closer to me so we are nose to nose. "What are you doing?" He asks as I move away from him and go to my dresser.

"Getting pants so we can go to this thing," I say slipping on some leggings under the dress. "Also, that's not an excuse. You shouldn't sexualize me like that even for humor," I say grabbing my bag as I walk towards him.

"I'm sorry," he says genuinely. I nod as a forgiveness. "Can we go now?" He asks. I nod again. He walks towards my fire escape in my room and steps out. "Come on," he says to me. I roll my eyes and walk out with him.

"Still think we could uber," I say. He rolls his eyes as he puts on his mask and pushes his watch.

"I'm gonna grab your waist now. Is that okay?" He asks. I nod as he wraps his arm around me and I put my arms around his neck. "Okay you ready?" I nod once again as I feel my feet lift off the ground. I put my face in his neck to protect my lashes from the wind. Also I don't like swing like this, I never have. I don't know if it's the closeness but I suddenly hear Peters thought going a million miles a minute.

"I can't believe she heard that. I wasn't trying to sexualize her. I mean I could've, but like no. She's my friend. She makes that clear. We are friends. Also I can't cheat on Mary Jane. I mean Mary Jane isn't around anymore, but it still feels like cheating. You can't love two people at one time right?" I feel bad that I'm hearing this. Psychologically he must be going through something. He obviously is not over Mary Jane especially since it was what four months ago? I don't know why I'd be so stupid to accept going to this thing with him. I mean we are friends. It's just two friends hanging out. At a fancy benefit thing. "I do think she looks beautiful," I hear Peter think. "I hope her skirt doesn't get in my vision." I stop myself from laughing as I look out and see my skirt going all over. I try to use my leg to tuck it in but it's difficult with the wind. I'm freezing now that I think about it. I should've grabbed a jacket. I feel my feet be set on the ground and pull my head up from his neck.

"We're in an alley," he says unwrapping his arm from me. I drop my arms and step away from him. My body is shivering so much it's hard to try and take my leggings off. "Just leave them on their should be a bathroom when we get in," he says wrapping his suit jacket around me. He takes his Spider-Man mask off and fixes his hair as I nod.

"Thank you," I say fixing the jacket on my shoulders. He nods. He gestures with his head to follow him. We walk out and see the museum on the other side of the alleyway. I'm shaking due to the cold and I'm actually sort of nervous. This isn't a Spider-Man thing and the most time I'll be spending with Peter in public. It feels odd. We walk up to the museum and I see other people walking in together. We can't be that late.
