I open the door after stopping by a sandwich place near by. Nothing like Delmar's but still good. I see Felicia's light on from under her door. "Please tell Mr. Fisk that I have started my part," I hear her say almost in my ear. I realize my hearing power has become more prominent since seeing Peter again. I sit on the couch and try to hear more of Felicia's conversation it all I hear is typing of a keyboard. As if she's hung up the phone after saying that one thing. I get scared as I hear a huge loud knock at the door. She opens her door as I walk over. She jumps a bit as I turn with my hand on the knob. "Didn't know you were home," she says. I see she is wearing a shirt slik robe and that seems to be it. Wonder how long it takes to get out of her suit?
"Sorry I just got back from," I pause not knowing what to say. "The library," I add slowly. She rolls her eyes and smiles.
"Nerd," she says as the door makes another loud knock. She nods her head telling me to open it. I open and see Peter in front of me.
"Parker?" I question wondering how he knows where I live. I have a small flashback of him standing at my door while I was getting ready for homecoming. I shake it away and I zone back in to him talking.
"So anyway I wondered if, Uh," I look at his eyes after staring at his shoes for a bit and notice him watching something behind me. I turn a little and see Felicia had walked by.
"Umm, that's just my roommate," I say. "Parker I'm confused how did you know I lived here?"
"I got your address from the school and, uh," he leans in and whispers to me, "Spider-Man knows things," he straights back up and I nod a little, but feel slightly uncomfortable. "I'm sorry," he says seeing whatever I was feeling on my face. "I just wanted to talk to you," Peter adds. "Wanna take a walk?" He asks.
"Umm, sure," I say. I look back in the kitchen and see Felicia as close to the door as possible. "Uh, I'm going out," I say.
"Who is he? He's cute," she whispers.
"Old friend," I say. "See ya," I add. I grab my bag and shut the door behind me. "Parker," I say as we walk down the hall.
"Stella," he says. "I'm sorry, but I actually just wanted to ask you something," he says stopping us at the elevator.
"What's up Parker?"
"Were you following me? The other night?" Peter asks. I sigh looking around a bit.
"I wasn't," I say not looking at him. He laughs a bit as the elevator dings. He walks in and I follow behind. "What's so funny?"
"You just haven't changed much," he says with a smile not really looking at me. I sigh realizing it's been a long time since I've been alone with Peter. Like actually alone.
"Do you like churros?" I ask him. He perks up and nods. "I know the perfect little place on 11th. If you don't mind the walk?"
"That sounds great," he says to me. The elevator doors open and I put in an AirPod in one ear. He looks at me almost confused.
"Oh, umm, I just like to be prepared so I don't have a fit or anything," I say putting a light song to focus on if the city is too loud.
"You still have those?" He asks as we walk down the sidewalk. I didn't realize how late it was and the road isn't as hustle and bustle. I shrug.
"Not as much as I used to. They were really bad when I first moved, but the AirPods started to help and I have little things to keep my mind at bay," I explain. "What about you? Spider-Man keeping busy?" I ask pretending i know nothing of Felicia and him.
"Yeah, yeah, I Uh, just started a big thing actually. I guess Kingpin is back," Peter explains. I raise my eyebrows pretending to be shocked.
"Wow is he still building his portal?" I ask. Peter shrugs.
