A/N: I was inspired to write this because I can't wait to spend mother's day with my mom! I haven't seen her in such a long time! 😪
This is a kind of continuation of my last story featuring Luna, the daughter of Malice and Darkiplier (blame quarantine). And I was going to delete it, but I love Luna too much! I know there's barely anything on her, but I love her!

Just so you know, it's very short. It's not great either, but I love writing about Darkiplier being a dad!

Mother's Day used to be just like any other day for me- before I knew I had a mother who was probably still alive.
Ever since I found that photo of my dad and my mom, I felt an emptiness on the inside when 1st of May came. I knew it came from knowing that it would soon be Mother's Day.

I couldn't explain why, but knowing that I had a mom, whom I thought to be dead for my whole life, made me the more depressed. I didn't have anyone who was remotely like a mother to me to celebrate with.
Normally demons didn't celebrate Mother's day or father's day or whatever since not many of our kind bred with each other.
But I still had parents.

I felt left out. Alone even...

I didn't know what it was like to give her flowers or perfume or chocolates...Hell, I didn't even know what Moms liked.
Did they like getting flowers even though they would wither and die after a week?
How could a kid even afford perfume? It was so damn expensive!
Chocolates made more sense. Chocolate was tasty.

Father's Day was easier since I have my dad.
When I was little, my Uncle Antisepticeye used to take me out to the store and by the usual dad gifts; a tie, a mug and a pair of socks. All of them usually said World's Best Dad or something similar.
Instead of a card, I would draw a picture of something completely random but something I knew Dad would like. I knew he still had them kept in a photo album in his office.

I wondered what my mom would have liked...

"Penny for your thoughts, Snapdragon?"

I looked up from the kitchen table as my dad placed a plate down in front of me before sitting down with his own.

A slither of a smile pulled at my lips.

Fish 'n' Chips for supper. My favorite.

"Mom's technically British, right?" I asked, picking up the ketchup bottle.

"Her human is from England, so yes." Dad said sprinkling salt over his plate.

"And that would make me sort of British, right?"

"It would make you half British, yes." He nodded. "My human is half Korean and half American-German, so that would make you...quarter Korean and... something-something the rest."

"And British people are known for liking fish 'n' chips," I said stabbing my fork into a chip/French Fry. "So is that where I get it from?"

That made my dad smile. "It could be,"

I could tell my dad was observing me, but I pretended not to notice as I ate.

"Luna?"

Oh boy.

He called me by first name. He wanted to have a serious conversation.

"Yeah?" I looked up at him.

"Do you know that Mother's Day is this Sunday?"

"Yeah, it's always the second Sunday of May."

"This will be the first Mother's Day of you knowing about your mother. Would you like to do anything?"
