A/N: sorry for the late update :) school has been heavy lately due to the semester almost ending so chapters will be less frequent until school ends. until then, enjoy!

FRIDAY:

The next morning, I feel like absolute shit. My neck hurts from the awkward position I've managed to put myself in and my body aches. Although my bay window is comfy, it's not really suited as a bed.

I check my phone and see that Elias had texted me to let me know that our boss is back from her trip. I give a quick thumbs up and I'm about to shut off my phone when I see a message from Dream. Oh god.

My breath hitches and memories of us last night flood through my head like a cheesy montage and I bite my lip hard enough to taste blood. I shake my head, getting rid of my thoughts and I tentatively tap my lip, making sure that I'm not bleeding too much.

fboy dream🤔:

Me:
i'm busy today.
i'll see if i have time.

I shut off my phone and slip into my uniform, ignoring the constant pain in my chest. I should give him a chance to talk. After all, it was a complete mess trying to talk to him. I hurry up and fix my hair and makeup before heading downstairs just in time.

When I reach the bottom of the stairs, the smell of plants and food welcomes me. The first thing I see is the stack of waffles on the counter and the second thing I see is the number of potted plants surrounding the kitchen and porch.

The front door is left open and I stick my head out, looking around. Wilbur is digging a few holes, while Niki plants in the plants, all different types of flowers and vegetables. "Hey?" I call out and the two snap their heads up. "Hi y/n!" Niki greets and I wave at her.

"What are you guys doing?" I ask, even though it's obvious what they're doing. "Planting some new plants!" Niki responds. "You're planning to add a small pond here?" Wilbur asks and he glances at me. I rub the back of my neck. "Yeah. It's between the front yard or the backyard."

Wilbur hums and glances at the empty land, where the pond would go. "I like it better if it's in the back, especially if all your fruits and vegetables are here. Bugs would be attracted and they could end up in your food." He comments and Niki and I spare a glance. Clearly, someone has been doing their research.

"That would mean that we have to plant even more flowers in the back," Niki observes and we all glance at the empty holes that Wilbur had dug. "Well..." He mumbles and the topic is dismissed. I head back inside to grab some waffles before checking the time.

I head back out and say goodbye to Wilbur and Niki, getting inside my car. I back out and I'm on the road, the car silent except for the engine working and the loud honks of traffic. I check the time and I sigh, tapping my fingers on my steering wheel.

I must have zoned out because a car honks behind me and I press on the gas. When I reach the store, I'm 4 minutes early. I smile to myself as I park and get out of my car. I walk into the store and I see Elias throwing a tennis ball in the air, clearly out of it.

I wait a few seconds to see if he notices me, but he doesn't. Finally, I huff, and his head snaps towards me. "Hi would be nice." I sarcastically comment and Elias shrugs, setting the ball down. "You're early." He only says and I watch him, crossing my arms.

"Yes... I am." I say, waiting for him to continue on about how many minutes and seconds I'm early by. But he doesn't say anything. Elias throws me a confused look as he starts up the cash register. "Are you good? You look like you're... I don't know, looking for something? Confused?"
