I walked into the great hall, after over a week I still couldn't quite believe Zeller was dead.

I found Lily who was sitting by the marauders, and dropped down beside the girl, tiredly putting my head on her shoulder. I hadn't been sleeping very well recently, more so than usual as my nightmares had gotten worse recently and that is if I got to sleep.

"You want something to eat," asked Remus, noticing my tired state and moving to plate my meal for me, I rubbed my eyes.

"I'm not that hungry," I said

"Maybe the chicken strips," Lily suggested

"Maybe it does, but that doesn't help with her hunger," James said, making me laugh for the first time since I found out about Zells.

"Yeah, the chicken goujons will do," I said smiling weakly.

Iris' Birthday

You know when you want to sleep for as long as you can on your birthday but your ginger best friend is an arse hole, I had been waiting for weeks, I would finally get another letter from my mother, but still I had planned to get up at 6 at the earliest.

"Lily Evans,"

"Happy birthday, Iris Artemis," the girl said, ah yes this was pay back

"Officially seventeen," I said getting into it now

"And your present is awaiting," she said handing it to me

I ripped open the present, forgoing admiring the work she put into wrapping it. I screamed for the first time that morning, Lily had brought me the most beautiful pair of black leather, heeled boots, I couldn't stop stroking the fabric of the shoe.

"They are also magically charmed, so they'll respond intuitively to how loud you want to be," she began explaining, she slipped on the bed beside me before continuing, "They can even go silent, so you can sneak up on people, oh and they're very comfy so I don't have to listen to you complain about the healed boot pinching at your feet,"

"I love you, Lils,"
"I love you too, Ris," she replied hugging me

We stayed like that for a while, until a tapping began on the window, my lips stretched into the largest smile, I could already feel the strain on my cheeks. I jumped up and ran to the window, as soon as the latch unclipped Estelle flew into my window, perching herself on my shoulder.

"Hello my darling, Oh I've missed you, I'll be back soon though," I said, scratching Estelles chin. I quickly grabbed my wand and poured the bag of treats onto a porcelain plate that I had brought up from the kitchens the night before. Once Estelle was happily eating the food from the plate, I untied the letter from her ankle.

The string was bristly, itching my fingers. I opened the letter so carefully, making sure there was not a single rip in the crisp envelope.

Lily placed her hand on my shoulder, bringing me out of it. "You okay Ris,"
"Yeah, it's mes mamans (my mum's) letter, She wrote them to me before she died, one a year on my birthday, didn't I tell you about it," I said smiling, a single tear falling down my face.

*POV switch: MORGANA LE FAY 𓃮*

I could finally see through the girl's mind, and her eyes. After my unjust death, I finally had a body to exact my revenge on a dead man. I kept sifting through her memories, until I came across a man with a long beard and worrying behaviour. Dumbledore was his name, and my host didn't trust him either, she was much less naive than I was at her age.

Suddenly a figure caught my eyes, Lilianne was my first thought but it wasn't, Lily Evans was her name she looked just like my love Lilianne but looks were the only thing they had in common. Lilianne was a muggle, we were so young when we fell in love but Merlin tore us apart not because she was a muggle but because she wasn't a man.
