"Willing to bet Potter,"
"What do I get if I win,"
"It's never going to happen,"
"A kiss if I win," I really shouldn't but I wouldn't lose, I got the better broomstick
"It's never going to happen, so okay,"
"Hilarious, love. Now 3...2....1,"
"Go!" I shouted speeding off ahead of him.

I was about to win as I got close to the goal post, I really was when James went straight past me with his hands in the air, already celebrating his win.

When James and I both landed on the ground the grass was dry and crunched under our feet, the boy was smirking at me and I handed him my broomstick. "So you owe me a kiss," I pointed my hand at the boy, he took my hand in his rougher one. Stroking my knuckles with his thumb before kissing the back of my hand his lips slightly chapped from flying. After the kiss he didn't let go of my hand.

"A kiss James, singular,"

"My lips have not left your hand,"

"We aren't going to stay here until the sunsets James," The boy removed his lips from my hand, a smile set on his face, I couldn't help but laugh at his cheeky grin.

"And what's so funny love," he said, putting the brooms under his arm and stepping closer to me.

"You, your smile never fails to make me laugh," I said

"I didn't know my smile was so important," he replied

"Every part of you is important,"

"I'm glad you think so,"

In that moment I noticed how close we had gotten, his nose almost touching my cheek and I couldn't blame it all on him as I think I had inched closer to him as well. I heard the broomsticks clatter on the ground as James moved his arm around my waist, his muscular arm firm against me.

"Can I," I could feel his words against my lips, my cheeks. I would have nodded but he was so close I would have kissed his chin.

That's when I heard small heels on grass, I stepped away from James with an awkward smile on my face turning to see Mcgonnagal standing there with her arms crossed.

"The brooms," she nodded towards them, before opening her hand taking them as they flew into her hands.

"Sorry Professor, I thought as quidditch captian I could-"

"I can see your thought process Mr Potter,"

"We were just practicing, Minnie," I replied smiling even wider

"Practicing what," My cheeks went red, James began to smirk putting his arm around my shoulders

"Quidditch, of course professor," I replied. The woman stared at us for a few moments longer, before turning on her heel.

"She's smiling," James whispered in my ear.

"Without a doubt,"

"Soooooo where were we," he said stepping closer

"I don't quite remember," James' smirk only increased as he held me again.

I stood on my tip toes still a bit short, and James holding my chin pulled my lips to his. The kiss was chaste, but it was amazing, it didn't matter that his lips were chapped or that as I ran my hand through his hair it got caught in his messy hair.

I licked my lips as we parted, I have a serious issue. What was my problem? I told James to go after Lily. "I truly hate that look," James said gently, holding my face.

"You know me too well, it's kind of scary," I said

"We can always talk to each other Ris,"

"I'm glad James," Even though I don't talk to anyone about my problems, because who could I burdon with those, certainly not my close friends, my brothers, my husband, the boy I'm in love with (ironically not the same person as my husband), my best friend, no none of them.
