I was never the type to get jealous of my friends, I was always happy with the way I looked, my expanse of knowledge and I never felt the need to compare myself to anyone other than my normal sister; but as I saw Iris sitting beside James her long, curly, dark hair cascading down her back, her smile so delicate on her cheeks as she did it subconsciously as she sat beside James Potter teaching him something that he claimed to have forgotten.
I licked my finger to turn the page of my book as it must have been used by a hundred different students before me. I really wouldn't mind Ris dating James because I could get over him, but she kept saying she didn't have feelings for him and then she'd flirt with him for an hour.
The pair seemed to forget they weren't the only two people in the world when they were together, James began to trace a pattern on the girl's knee star, heart, and swirl; she quickly moved his hand away, putting his pointer finger on the page she was explaining instead. I let out a sigh, putting my full attention back on my book.

"Potter bloody focus, before I shove this quill up your nose until you bleed out the answer,"
"But it's hard,"
"James I know you explained this to Peter yesterday, so unless you have short-term memory loss, which there's a potion for. Just say that you know it," I said, smiling even more than before as I let out a sigh at his childish behaviour.
"Fine, I just wanted to make sure I knew it. See you at the quidditch finals tonight," he said, smirking at me, before he winked and closed the book. I watched him walk back to his dorm.I sighed standing up, stretching my entire body as I pointed my hands to the ceiling, I heard my back click and instantly fell back sighing in contentment. "Have you got any plans for the rest of the day, Ris?" Lily asked, smiling at me.
"Plans," I said, trying to remember, "Oh, shit,"
"What have you forgotten now Ris,"
"What's the time?" I asked rubbing my face, annoyed that James was going to make me late
"You were meant to meet Rosier about 20 minutes ago, I already sent him a fire note telling him you were going to be late," Lily said. I ran to the girl and hugged her
"You are a goddess Lily Evans," I said, kissing the back of her hand, before running off to find Rosie where we had planned to meet. The grass was dry, the sun bearing down on the green blades, I loved the sound as I ran down to the tree by the blacklake. I found Rosie sitting there, he was throwing flat stones across the lake, they skipped along the water like a swan on a lake.
"I see I'm finally more important than Potter," Rosie said, this time throwing the rock so that it would sink to the bed of the lake.
"Roise, I'm sorry I'm late but I was just teaching him," I said sitting beside him, the boy put his arm around my shoulders, he seemed sadder than normal. "Are you okay, Rosie?" I asked, as the boy interlocked our hands, his palms were soft as if he'd never used them.
"When were you planning to tell me that you agreed to Dumbledore's offer,"
"Mother fucker, Dumbledore's a piece of shit who obviously can't keep his bloody word,"
"Such a foul mouth," I couldn't help but smirk, even though we were having a serious conversation.
"I said friends, technically you would be my spouse," I said, rubbing my face annoyed I had let that slip past me
"I knew there was a reason I married you," cheeky twat
"Why did Dumbledore tell you,"
"Because he knew I'd join to protect you,"
