I watch the sun rise over the horizon as I couldn't shake what happened last night. Dumbledore was dead. Draco was gone. I heard a slight knock on the door and quietly told them to come in. I turned toward the door and saw Maddox slowly enter.

"Hey." He quietly said trying not to wake up Sadie, who was still asleep.

"Hey." I quietly whispered back as he closed the door.

"How are you holding up?" He asked as he put his hands in his pocket.

"Not the best. I mean our headmaster is dead and who knows how long it'll be till I see Draco." I said as I started to ramble on before Maddox stopped me.

"You'll see him soon. I promise." He said as he pulled me into a hug. "You'll be able to hug and kiss him soon."

"I should start getting ready for class." I said as I pulled away.

"Class is canceled. After what happened last night. There's no class in honor to mourn Dumbledore."

"Well then I'm going to bring Draco back." I said starting to grab my wand.

"Y/n. You can't do that. It's part of the deal. You and I must stay here while Draco stays at the Manor." Maddox said grabbing my arm making my wand drop to the floor.

"Well then I need to speak to Harry. He saw everything and I need to clear the air with him." I said taking a deep breath and picking wand up from the floor.

"Harry, Hermoine and Ron all left to find the Horcruxes to destroy Voldemort. They left in the middle of the night. I saw them leave." Maddox said trying not to destroy all the plans I had.

"Well, I'll go and talk to Allison then. Unless she's gone too." I said walking out my room and heading to the Hufflepuff common room.

I slowly walked the halls all the way to the Hufflepuff common room. Seeing everyone mourning Dumbledore made me absolutely felt bad that I had to be a part of that.

I knocked on the Hufflepuff common room door and I asked for Allison. I waited for a few minutes until I heard the door open and Allison walk out.

"Hey, is everything alright?" Allison asked as she closed the door behind her.

"Not really." I said pulling her into a hug.

"Is it because of Dumbledore?" She said as she pulled out of the hug.

"Yeah. I guess." I said not me wanting to her to found out that I was apart of Dumbledore dying.

"I thought we were done with the whole Dark Lord stuff. You promised." She said to me, disappointed.

"Allison, I didn't have a choice." I said to her trying not to cry.

"Don't say you did it to protect me. That's what you said last time." She said starting to get agitated.

"Allison. Keep your voice down. I don't want no one to know." I said trying to calm her down.

"Why did you go back?" She asked after taking a deep breath.

"I did it for Draco. He got the mark and started working for Voldemort. I didn't want him to go through all the pain. I knew you wouldn't approve but it was to protect him. That really didn't work out I guess." I explained to her, watching her face break.
