11- Yule Ball

About a month goes by and life was pretty basic as of now. Draco and I were still hiding us from everyone and just doing schoolwork and tests.

The whole school was entering the Great Hall for dinner and honestly, I was hungry. I sat across from Draco and next to Sadie in our usual spot. Before we could eat though, Professor McGonagall had something to say.

"Attention, Witches and Wizards! Next week exactly will be the Yule Ball! Dance classes will be held starting tomorrow after classes. You must all be there. Enjoy dinner!" She said to all the students. All the girls got really excited and the boys kind of looked upset about it.

"What's the Yule Ball?" I turned to ask Sadie. Her face dropped at the sight of me asking that question.

"The Yule Ball is a Christmas Dance. The Great Hall is decorated all winter themed and it's beautiful. People get dates all the time and dance lessons obviously. It's such an amazing time." Sadie said getting all excited just thinking about it in her head.

"Oh. My school never had those type of things before. It seems fun." I said going to take a bite of my food.

"The dance lesson seem ridiculous." Draco mumbled going to take a sip of his water.

"I agree. Why do we need them?" Maddox said adding to Draco's comment.

"Guys, you just have to be open about it. It is only for one night." Sadie said and I nodded in agreement.

"Besides, you don't want to make a fool out of your date do you?" I said chucking a little bit.

"I won't embarrass myself. The ladies love me to see right through that." Maddox said very confidently.

"What ladies?" Sadie said and everyone started laughing.

"I'm taking my food to my room now." Maddox said taking his plate of food and heading toward the common room.

"Oh no. I'll say sorry to him later." Sadie said kind of feeling bad about what she said.

We all continued eating and when we finished, we headed back to the common room to get ready for bed.

As I was getting ready for bed, Sadie said she was going to say sorry to Maddox so I said okay and she left the room and I got into my bed and fell asleep.

✨Draco POV✨

As I heard a knock on the door and saw it was Sadie, I motioned to come in and Maddox closed the door behind her.

"What did you need to talk to me about Malfoy?" Sadie asked taking a seat at my desk.

"I want to ask y/n to the Yule Ball. But I don't know how. So I need your guys help." I mentioned as I twiddled with my thumbs.

"Aww that's so cute!" Sadie said squealing and getting all happy.

"So how should I ask her? When do I ask her? I need to know these things." I said getting all nervous.

"She's going to say yes of course. Do it as fast as you can. Before someone else asks her." Maddox said coming to sit next to me.

"Y/n doesn't seem like the person who would want a big way to be asked out. Something just simple." Sadie mentioned. "Like just asking her straight up or taking her to your favorite spot and asking her there."
