22- Caught

✨Y/n's POV✨

"I remember..." I heard coming from behind me.

I turned around and saw Draco standing only a few feet away from me. My heart broke knowing that he remembered but mad at Sadie that she let him put the ring on.

"Draco.." I said quietly.

"I remember everything. The Yule Ball. Quidditch games. Everything that we have done. I remember." He said as he slowly walked closer to me.

"You're not supposed to remember." I said trying to get my words out.

"Because you obliviated my memories of you?" He asked me. I nodded my head in shame as he was about a foot away from me.

"Draco, you shouldn't be here." I said to him as my head was still down.

"Why? Why push me away still?" He begged me.

"Because it's not safe for you!" I yelled. "You don't deserve this life!"

"It's not safe for you either! You don't deserve this life either!" He yelled back at me.

"I obliviated your memories to keep you safe! To keep you away from all of this. I've done all of this before. It's normal for me." I said starting to tear up.

"You can never push me away. I'll always be here." He said pulling me into a hug. At that moment, I just cried into his arms.

"I have to go. I have a meeting with you know who." I said pulling out from the hug.

"I'm coming with." He said as he grabbed my hand so we could apparate to the Manor.

"You can't. If they find out that your memories are back...he'll do unspeakable things." I said to him.

"I don't care. I'm not losing you again." He whispered in my ear before he apparated us to the Manor.

I walked into the Manor with Draco trailing behind me so no one would be suspicious of anything.

I walked into the main room and waited for a few minutes before Lord Voldemort came into the room and sat in his chair.

"How is the cabinet coming along?" He asked me as he made himself comfy in his chair.

"It's going well sir. It's almost complete." I responded quickly.

"Sir! We have an intruder on the meeting!" I heard a death eater say from behind me and in walks the death eater and Draco.

"Draco..honey." Narcissa whispered but loud enough for me to hear it.

"Draco. What are you doing here?" Voldemort asked him. He stayed silent before Voldemort asked him again. "What are you doing here?!"

"It seems like he came in with Y/n." A death eater mentioned. "Seems like his memories are back."

"Y/n. How did his memories come back?" Voldemort said as he got up out of his chair and walked toward me.

"I...I don't know." I said to him, starting to get scared.

"Well, here's what going to happen now. Draco, come and stand next to Y/n." He said as he motioned for Draco to come stand next to me. Draco started walking over and stood next to me.

"Now, not only is Draco going to help you fix the cabinet. He's going to get his cloaking spell removed." Voldemort said as he waved his wand and I saw Draco's mark come back.

Draco screamed in pain and fell to his knees, grasping at his arm.

"No!" I screamed going down with Draco to comfort him.

"I'm not done! Stand up!" Voldemort yelled. Draco and I slowly got up as we comforted one another.

"I have one task for you guys to do together. If one fails, the other must complete it." He said calmly as Draco and I nodded our heads.

"The task...kill Albus Dumbledore. If you don't, I'll kill you." He said as he turned around and left the room.

The death eaters lead us out of the house and left us on the front lawn. Draco was on the ground still in pain from the mark coming back.

"I told you not to come. I knew this would happen." I said as I comforted Draco in the grass.

"It's worth it." He said as he still held onto his arm.

"But now, we have kill Dumbledore." I said almost on the verge of crying.

"I won't let you go through with it. I'll kill him."   Draco said as he managed to get up from the floor. "Let's head back."

I grabbed his hand and I apparated us back to my room. Sadie was in the bed doing her schoolwork.

"You guys really just have to stop apparating in here whenever you like." She said taking deep breaths.

"Now is not the time Sadie." I said as I took Draco to my bed and laid him down.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Voldemort happened. He brought his mark back." I said grabbing an ice pack from our mini fridge.

"Is it because he put on the ring?" She said feeling bad.

"No. Not at all. I'm not mad. He just found Draco on the premises and freaked out." I said putting the ice pack on Draco's mark.

"Much better." Draco said feeling relieved.

"Good. Sadie, go get Maddox please." I said making eye contact with her. She nodded her head and she left the room closing the door behind her.

"I love you Y/n." Draco said as we laid in silence for a few seconds.

"Draco.." I said to him before he interrupted me.

"No. Just listen to me. I'll be honest. The only reason I wanted to get close to you was because there was something...off about you. But as we got closer, I developed feelings. I couldn't hide them away. I knew something was wrong the day after I was obliviated. Something didn't feel complete. Now I know it was you." He said as he laid on the bed staring at the ceiling.

"Draco...I love you too." I said as I made eye contact with him. "But we can't be together."

"Why not?" He asked as he rose up.

"It's just not the time. Things are complicated. I mean we have to kill someone. It's not the right time." I said to him, gently pushing him down to the bed to make him get some rest.

"Why should that stop us? It should only make us closer." He said, sighing.

Before I could respond, Sadie and Maddox walked into the room.

"What happened to him?" Maddox said closing the door behind him.

"He got his memories back. Voldemort found out and now his mark is back." I mentioned to Maddox while making eye contact with him.

"Are you serious?!" He said looking back and forth between Draco and I.

"Yes. Please don't blame Sadie. She didn't know. Voldemort said he has to help us with the cabinet now." I said walking up to Maddox.

"Okay. We're going to make it through this. Let's head to your room so you can get some rest." Maddox said walking up to Draco to help him.

All of us walked over to Draco's room and helped him when we could get him into bed. When Sadie and Maddox left, I stayed behind.

"Listen. When our task it over. Then we can continue what we..have. I promise." I whispered in his ear as I tucked him into bed.

"Thank you. For everything." He whispered back. I kissed his forehead and opened the door and turned out the light.

I walked back to my room and when Sadie fell asleep, I got ready for bed.

As I crawled into bed and almost turned out my light, I grabbed the picture of Draco and I at the Yule Ball. Seeing him smiling made me happy and I was glad to have him back.
