Obliviate. (Draco Malfoy)

24- Death

As we quietly made our way to the top of the Astronomy Tower, we could hear Dumbledore speaking to someone else.

"Is he talking to someone?" I whispered to Draco.

"I don't know. I just hope he's alone." He whispered back. I could tell the old Draco was coming back for this task because it was the only way to complete it.

We made it to the top of the Astronomy Tower and held up our wands, pointing at Dumbledore.

"Good evening Draco....Y/n. What brings you here on this fine spring evening?" Dumbledore asked as he made eye contact with us.

"Who else is here? We heard you talking." He said as he kept his eye contact with Dumbledore. I couldn't stand to look him in the eye knowing what was going to happen.

"I often talk out loud to myself. I find it exceptionally useful. Have you been whispering to yourself Draco." He said to him. I knew he was just buying time.

"Get to the point guys. We don't have all day." I said looking at both of them.

"Draco, you are no assassin." Dumbledore stated.

"How do you know what I am. I've done things that would shock you. What we have done." Draco said starting to get all defensive.

"Like cursing a student hoping that in return, she would bear a cursed necklace to me." Dumbledore said. Draco's face dropped trying to figure out how he found out.

"You did that Draco? You cursed someone?" I said looking at him as my arm lowered.

"He did. These actions you've done are so weak." Dumbledore said still trying to buy some more time.

"Trust me. I was chosen." He said as he pulled up his sleeve and revealed his dark mark.

"We were chosen." I said as I pulled up my sleeve to reveal my dark mark. I didn't want Draco to go through it alone.

"I knew there was something special about you Y/n. I'll make it easy for you." Dumbledore said as his wand was in his hand.

"Expelliarmus." Draco said as he disarmed Dumbledore of his wand.

"Very good." Dumbledore said as the door to the tower opened and footsteps were heard. "You guys aren't alone. There are others. How?"

"The vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement." I stated.

"We've been mending it." Draco said before I could finish my sentence.

"Let me guess. It has a sister. A twin." Dumbledore said like he knew our whole plan.

"At Borgin and Burke's. They form a passage." Draco said still pointing his wand at Dumbledore.

"Draco. Years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you." Dumbledore said calmly, not wanting Draco to kill him.

"I don't want your help." Draco yelled.

"Draco.." I said trying to calm him down.

"Don't you understand. I have to do this. I have to kill you or he's going to kill me." Draco said starting to cry.

"He's going to kill us." I added.

Draco started to lower his wand because he knew he didn't want to do it but Belltrix and a whole bunch of Death Eaters reached the top of the tower. Draco quickly but his wand back up.
