Obliviate. (Draco Malfoy)

15- Ring

"Y/n. We're gonna be late for Potions. Wake up!" I hear Draco say as I opened my eyes and looked at the clock. We had slept through our first class. I rushed to the bathroom and put on my uniform and got ready.

Draco and I ran out of the common room and into our potions class.

"Ah Draco and Y/n. Such a pleasure for you to join our class..late. Take your seats." Professor Slughorn said as the rest of the class turned toward the entrance where Draco and I stood.

Draco and I walked over to our seats as Slughorn continued teaching the lesson. When class was over, I walked over to Astronomy but Draco followed behind.

"Draco. Your class is on the opposite side of where my class is. You're going to be late...again. Get to class please." I asked as I turned around to make eye contact with him.

"Fine. Can I get a kiss first?" He said. I nodded and gave him a kiss on the cheek and then we headed to our separate classes.

When classes were over, Draco and I made our way to the common room. We saw Sadie and Maddox sitting on the couches doing homework.

"Rumor has it that you guys were late to Potions." Sadie said closing her book.

"And that you guys both missed your first periods." Maddox added on to what Sadie said.

"We overslept. What's the big deal?" I asked as I set my stuff down.

"The big deal is that you weren't in your bed when I woke up. So where were you?" She asked me.

"She slept in my room. I didn't want to sleep alone last night. So I asked her. No big deal." Draco said as he took a seat on the couch. Sadie and Maddox's eyes grew being shocked at what they just heard.

"Wait...you guys..didn't...you know." Maddox said really surprised.

"No. We did not." I said taking a seat next to Draco. We all started doing our homework then dinner came around.

We all ate and I'm glad because if Draco didn't eat again. I would start to get really nervous. When we all headed back to the common room, I had a little surprise to give to Draco.

"Hey, Draco. I have a surprise for you. Can you meet me in my room?" I asked as he sat on the couch as the fire crackled nearby.

He followed me to my room and I closed the door behind him.

"So, what's the surprise?" He asked looking around my room to see if he could spot it.

"I got this for you during Christmas break because it matches the one I have. There was never really a time to give it to you until now. So, close your eyes." I said to him. He covered his eyes and then I told him to open his eyes.

I handed him a ring with a snake in the center with emerald around it. He smiled at the right of it.

"It's amazing Y/n. Thank you." He said as he grabbed the ring and placed it on his finger. He gave me a kiss on the cheek. We went back to the couches and did homework until dinner came around.

✨Draco POV✨

As Sadie and Y/n went ahead of us to go to dinner at the Great Hall, Maddox and I trailed behind them as I fiddled with the ring Y/n got me.

"What's that?" Maddox asked me as he pointed to the ring that laid on my finger.

"It's a ring obviously. Y/n gave it to me." I said as I smiled at the thought that she got me a ring to match her necklace.

"You do realize that if your parents or worse if he sees it. They will connect the dots and will kill her." Maddox said under his breath so the girls wouldn't be able to hear us.

"Yes. I understand. I'll take it off when I visit them. Which isn't going to be often." I said under my breath as well.

"Your parents maybe but, you have to leave when he calls for you." Maddox said getting frustrated with me. "Look, I know you've been scratching at your mark wishing it would away. I'm doing the same thing too. My arm won't stop bleeding. Yours probably isn't stopping either. I'm just saying, they will figure it out and when they do. It's not going to be pretty. Just be careful please."

"I will. Let's catch up with the girls." I said taking a deep breath.

We caught up with Sadie and Y/n and ate dinner.  After dinner, Y/n said she was going to sleep in her room tonight and she headed off to bed.

As I got into the shower, I looked at dark mark and started scratching at it more than I already was. My arm started bleeding and the pain wouldn't go away. The burning wouldn't stop.

I got dressed and looked into the bathroom mirror. I didn't see myself. I didn't have this mark for long but I already couldn't recognize myself.  I cried at the sight of myself, knowing there wasn't anything I could do to stop the pain. To not be a death eater.

I walked over to my bed and got into my bed, still crying. I couldn't stop crying until I fell asleep. But, I keep waking up from nightmares. Nightmares of me losing Y/n. Nightmares of Hogwarts being destroyed. They were so bad to where I can't sleep anymore.

For the rest of the night, I looked at the ceiling, waiting for morning to arrive. I kept playing with the ring Y/n gave me. It gave me happiness and hope for some reason.
