5- Opening up

It was the next day, and I decided that I take Draco some breakfast since he didn't come to breakfast this morning. I'm guessing he just slept in since it's Saturday.

"Draco? Can I come in" I asked after I knocked and his door.

"Sure." I heard him say through the door.

I opened the door and saw him come out of the bathroom. He looked like he had been crying a little bit.

"I thought I would bring you some breakfast." I said putting it down on this dresser.

"Thanks." He said heading to his bed.

"Are you okay? You look like you've been crying." I asked before I headed out the door.

"Yes. I'm fine. It's none of your business anyway." He said harshly.

"I thought we were becoming friends." I said under my breath. I closed the door and decided I would and check in on Allison so I headed to the HufflePuff common room.

"Y/n?! What are you doing here?" Allison said getting up from the couch.

"I wanted to see how you were doing. Where is everyone?" I said hugging her.

"They wanted to go out for the day but I didn't feel like it so I stayed behind." Allison said releasing from the hug.

"Ow!" I exclaimed grabbing my forearm.

"Y/n? Is it your arm again. Is the the thing?" Allison said starting to worry.

"Yeah....I guess. That's the first time it's done that for a while." I said calming down.

"What if it's happening all over again. I don't want to see you go through that all over again. It changed you. The bad thing is you can't get rid of it." Allison said tearing up.

"Hey, listen. It's not gonna happen. I promise you. What happened is in the past. Never again. Okay?" I said pulling her into a hug.

"Okay." She said sniffling.

The rest of day Allison and I hung out in the HufflePuff common room until I decided to head back.

"Look who's back!" Draco said from the couch.

"Yeah. I'm back." I said dropping my stuff off.

"I want to take you somewhere. Come on." He said pulling me out of the common room.

He lead me up to the astronomy tower and the view was breathtaking. It was relaxing.

"Ow!" I said exclaimed again.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" Draco said worried.

"Yeah....I...burned myself and it just hurts that's all." I said reassuring him.

"I brought you up here so I can get to know you and go talk about our problems." Draco said looking out of the window.

"What do you wanna know about?" I asked him.

"Why you were put into Slytherin first off." Draco said making eye contact.

"Well, I always grew up being nice but of course we all have some bad in us. Hence why I have HufflePuff qualities. But, before I moved, stuff went down and I did very bad things. Stuff I never want to do again. I think those things stood out more and that's why I was put in Slytherin." I told him.

"My dad is always on me about grades and quidditch. He always seems so disappointed in me. He makes me do stuff I don't want to do. Like, I have to do something very soon and I don't want to. I want to run away and be myself. Be free of him." He said with his head down.

"I'm sorry Draco. We don't deserve either of this." I said rubbing his back. He looked backed up at me and once again, we kissed.

"Why do I keep doing that?!" Draco screamed.

"Maybe cause you feel something towards me. It's fine to feel that way Draco. You don't have to hide it." I reassured him.

"Look, if you feel the same way, great! I just don't want to get attached." He said calming down.

"Then...let's keep it hidden. No one needs to know." I told him.

"I'd like that very much." He said blushing.

"No one finds out. Our little secret." I whispered in his ear.

"I have to go. I'll see you soon." He whispered back in my ear then left the astronomy tower.

After he left, I headed back to the Great Hall for some dinner. I sat down next to Sadie and Maddox and started eating.

"Where have you been?" Sadie asked me.

"I've been wandering around. I'm fine I promise." I said to her and Maddox.

"Do you know where Draco is?" Maddox asked.

"No. I don't." I said back with a little attitude:

They just shrugged their shoulders and we contorted eating then headed back to the common room for bed.

✨Draco POV✨

I arrived at my mansion and my mom lead me to the room where everyone was. All I could think about was y/n and how I would be able to tell her what would happen in a few months.

"Draco. How wonderful of you to join us." My father said leading me to a chair next to him.

There at the end of the table was the Voldemort. The dark lord. My father was a follower of him and Voldemort wants to choose me. But for what? I don't want to especially now since I've opened up to y/n.

"Now since we have everyone here. Let's talk." Voldemort said.

The meeting started and the plan he wants to do is going into plan.

After the meeting, I apparated to the Slytherin common room. I quietly went to y/n's room and smiled at the thought of her sleeping. I don't want to hurt her. She'll never know. It's the only way to protect her.
