I wake up to my bed to shaken by Sadie yelling at me to get up and get ready for classes.

"Get up y/n! You're gonna be late!" Sadie shouted as she was hitting me with a pillow.

"Okay. Okay. I'm up!" I groaned as I pulled myself out of bed.

I got changed in my robe and tie and grabbed all I needed and looked at my schedule.

1st class: defense against the dark arts
2nd class: potions
3rd class: astronomy
lunch
4th class: charms
5th class: herbology
6th class: transfiguration

I took a deep breath and headed to my first class which Defense against the Dark Arts. I looked around for an open seat and saw Ron sitting by himself with an empty seat next to him.

"Hey there ginger." I said plotting down my books next to him.

"Hey Slytherin." He said jokingly.

"Don't even bring it up please. I already get enough looks being an American. I think being a Slytherin makes it even worse. So please don't mention it." I begged him.

"I'm still surprised. The hat said you had Hufflepuff qualities but yet you got into Slytherin. I feel like the bloody hat messed up." He exclaimed.

"But the hat never lies, does it?" I asked him.

He shrugged his shoulders as Professor Snape walked into the room. He told us to open our books and started teaching the lesson. Ron looked at my schedule and we had charms together which was very nice.

I made my way to my second class and as I walked in. I saw...Draco. We both glared at each other wondering what the other was doing here.

"What are you doing here?" I whispered to him.

"What? You think that we are in the same year we will not have classes together? Don't get your hopes up." He whispered back.

Professor Slughorn told us to take our seats and Draco sits behind me...yay me. He introduced us to some basic potions and before I knew it the class was over.

I didn't know anyone in Astronomy so when lunch came, I was excited. I sat down at the table across from Draco and sat in between Maddox and Sadie. Something felt off about Draco but it wasn't my concern and I didn't want to but in.

After lunch I headed to Charms when I saw Draco standing beside me.

"May I help you Malfoy?" I said as I stopped in my tracks.

"What's your next class?" He asked sternly while glaring at me.

"Charms. Please don't tell me you have it too..." I said silently freaking out.

"Sadly. Yes." He said in all seriousness.

"Any others?" I asked handing him my schedule.

"The last 3 we have together." He said disappointed.

"We might as well walk together then I suppose." I said walking away and Draco following me.

We walked in and found a seat. We didn't next to each other because I sat next to Ron and Hermoine.

"Hey y/n. How has your first day been so far?" She asked leaning over Ron's desk.

"It's been good aside from the fact that I have Draco in a majority of my classes." I whispered so Draco couldn't hear me.

"Not off to a great start aside from what happened before the sorting ceremony." Ron asked.

"He's just not been keeping the conversation. He just kinda gives the cold shoulder." I said.
