idea : Maybe this wouldn't have happened if phil hadn't left the three brothers on their own, that's what phil thought. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if techno didn't leave wilbur to take care of his littlest brother, that's what techno was thinking. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if wilbur didn't leave tommy to go explore his music. Maybe, that's a funny word, there are no maybes in this life, what happened happened, and now their family was shattered, at least that's what tommy thought. To understand all of this let's take us back to the beginning of the story... the story of the 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙮 𝙗𝙤𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮.
This all started 3 years ago, when the sleepy bois decided to leave the antarctic kingdom and move, everyone was excited about where this new adventure would lead them. Only a month or two into the journey though, phil got news that his wife, Kristen was sick baxk at the antarctic kingdom. Phil didn't think it was a big deal, entrusting tommy and wilbur to techno since he was the oldest and most responsible. That was the first mistake in a series of mistakes.
(btw the ages when they start the journey are: phil : 29 techno : 18 wilbur : 17 tommy : 13) About 7 months into the journey, the children got news that their mother was finally feeling better and that phil would be heading back to try and catch up with them. Techno suggested to wait for phil in a nearby village, but tommy was very excited and wanted to find the great rumoured dream smp sooner, and so the journey continued without waiting for phil.
Only a few weeks after they got this news, while they were passing through a city, the said city was famous for its strong fighters, techno was very intrigued, trying to battle one of its citizens and finding himself tying with said person. Techno had never been beat before and just like that, techno left tommy and wilbur, expecting wilbur to bring tommy to the dream smp, telling his younger siblings he would catch up with them after he beat every single person in the city. And the second mistake was committed.
At this point, tommy was still very hyper, and energetic but seeing his father and elder brother leave, did take a toll on him, even if he didn't show it, tommy very much adored his whole family, and when he grew up he wanted to be just like them. He was looking forward to the day their family would meet again in the dream smp, boy did that age badly. (anyone ever saw the just like you tommyinnit anitmatic? it was so fucking sad)
Only 6 months left of the journey, they once again stumbled on to a town, and there they saw a homeless person, playing a guitar. Tommy didn't think anything of it but wilbur look entranced into the performance. Tommy was getting impatient and told will to hurry up and leave, but wilbur was so entranced taht he told a 14 turning 15 in 4 months teenager to go ahead without him, and that he'd catch up later. Tommy sulked but did as he was told, 3 times in a row, his family had left him for someone, something else.Mistake number 3.
It seemed like tommy was deep in thought, when he bumped into someone. "I'm sorry, are you ok?" the voice asked, tommy looked up to see a boy around his age with brown hair and slight horns and a boy with half white half black hair with miss-matched eye colours. After saying that he was ok, he asked the two boys for their names and had a lovely conversation. When tommy asked if they lived here or was heading somewhere, the two boys shook their head and told tommy they were actually trying to find a new place to stay. Tommy brightened at the idea that just popped up his head, he asked tubbo and ranboo wether they wanted to accompany him to the dream smp where they could live, tubbo and ranboo gladly agreed and since that day on, they would continue to be best friends and promise to stick up for each other no matter what.

(ik technically ranboo arrives wayyy later then tommy and tubbo but i'm kinda obsessed with the bench trio so deal with it)
And so after the last 3 months of their journey, the three friends had finally made it... To the dream smp where their lives would slowly but surely crumble but would always have each other's back, just like they promised to.
