(a little extra to the last chapter)

After tommy said said this, it caused an uproar in the audience. Some were thinking if the prince specialised in combat, most were wondering why he would want to be in the military when prince wilbur looked so much nicer than prince techno. The most confused looks were from wilbur, techno and phil. Tommy quickly bowed and walked down the stairs, smirking as he was able to shock his family so much.

As he was only 2 minutes into a conversation with ranboo and tubbo, phil pulled him aside to have a talk with his son, along with wilbur and techno. For fucks sake, no one knew how to leave him alone today huh? Once they were away for earshot, phil with a worried look on his face said " Are you sure you don't want to go into politics tommy? I don't think you could handle being in the military." There phil was once again underestimating him. The actual reason tommy chose the military instead of politics is that wilbur already had a lot of power as the prime minister of the empire, and there can't be 2 prime ministers, so tommy would've just always be in his shadow. But in the military it was different, tommy could rise up the ranks and while he may be in technoblade's shadow for a while, he could be his own general and gain supporters amongst the military.

Before he said anything, techno spoke "Yea, you still have to train a hundred years until you could beat me." you see they had never seen tommy in actual combat, when techno and wilbur were born, phil oversaw their studies, including fighting courses which went horribly for wilbur. But when tommy was born, I guess phil just didn't really care? honestly tommy didn't know either. "Hah bitch I could beat you to a pulp right now if i wanted to!" tommy said kinda putting on the mask in front of his family again, "how about a duel? 2 days from now, if i beat you i automatically advance to lieutenant." tommy said with a confident smirk. "Bruhhhhh, deal." techno said also with a confident smirk.

2 days later...

Dream was currently helping tommy put on his armour as they discuss battle details. "I know your good, but this is the technoblade we're talking about here are you sure you can beat him?" "Well in the long run probably not, but we're just doing one round, he's better at fishing rod pvp but i've been training for the past 5 years to beat him, i'll be fine... i think."

On the side of the arena, wilbur and philza were speechless, there was no way technoblade, the blood god who had not lost a single battle got beaten by tommy, the loud child. They quickly ran down the arena, to see dream helping tommy rap up his wounds, having quiet chatter with each other, wilbur never actually noticed how close the two were, and he was kinda jealous not gonna lie. Techno also eventually walked up next to phil, tommy still ignoring the three gazes on him, continuing to bandage his wounds while talking to dream about the battle.

Philza coughed, and tommy looked up, as if he 'just' noticed them. "Did you cheat?" phil immediately said. Tommy's smirk immediately faded, how fucking dare he, just because he wasn't the favourite son he gets blamed for cheating, tsch how predictable. Tommy grabbed dreams wrist, halting him for helping tommy, "Listen 𝗱𝗮𝗱." with as much venom as he could manage, "You should stop underestimating me, all of you should. If you 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙'𝙫𝙚 payed attention, you'd know that I've gotten even higher scores than wilbur academically, and i've beaten my fighting instructors one after another. But because i'm 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 a loud and annoying child in your eyes, you 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁. So now i don't need your fucking accusations, support whatever the fuck you give me, tho i will take the lieutenant rank, since I 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 it, having a horrible day guys!" And the boy they thought they knew walked out with his royal knight behind him.

(btw ty @Ilovenarutoforever for the idea of phil wanting tommy going into politics, i didn't even think of that lmfao)
