All hail the king

idea :

It had been 2 years since tommy challenged his brother to that duel. After joining into the military, tommy had gotten relatively close to techno, but not enough to fully trust him. What he had found out from techno was that he didn't want to become king, he liked being the general, fighting wars for the kingdom and most of all destroying other governments. So all tommy had for competition now was wilbur.

Tommy also found out from an inside source, yes he had an inside source, it has been a busy 2 years ok? Anyways he also found out that phil, the father he only talks to like once every 2 months was retiring soon. Which means an election for the next king would be held. Now like previously mentioned, it had been a busy 2 years, he rose up to the ranks of general alongside techno, he donated to charities to promote his name amongst the citizens, he made a lot of small talk with nobles all over the kingdom to gain their support. He was fully ready for the election and wilbur would have to watch the fuck out, cuz his little brother was popping the fuck off.

An announcement was to be held tomorrow morning, and the entire kingdom would have to attend. Tommy had no doubt it would be about philza's retirement but just to make sure, he planned backup plans with dream, who had recently been made a knight of the round, the 12 most elite knights in the kingdom.

King philza now stood on the balcony of the castle, facing about 15? million people with his three sons slightly behind him. "First off, people of the kingdom, I would like to thank l of you for making time to come here today. And the reason I have called you all here today... is because i'm going to retirement." the whole crowd down below were shocked, phil had ruled for about 30-40 years now though, i suppose he did have to retire. Phil continued "We will be having an election for the next king between prince wilbur soot." cue crowd cheering "and prince tomathy innit." cue crowd cheering again. "Crown prince technoblade has said he doesn't not want to become king and wants to continue being the general so i will abide with his wishes."

Votes came rallying in as the weeks past. Wilbur was more popular amongst the inked since he was prime minister but tommy was more popular with the civilians. This was going to be a close battle, but because wilbur already had his own city-state that he was president of, some people were wary about giving him power to the throne, which was all the better for tommy.

Tommy of course had his own reasons of wanting to be king. Power was tempting yes but that wasn't why he wanted to be king. He wanted to proof his family wrong, they said he could never do it, that he would always stay the hold that he was. But here he was at 18, a successful general who was about to be crowned the king. Philza was going to regret underestimating him all his life...

Today was the day, the day of the announcement. Philza was once again stood on the balcony with his 3 sons behind him yet again. "Now I would like to announce the results of the election, with a vote of 58.6% to 41.4% prince tomathy innit has won?" sounding more like a question than a statement. The crowd started to cheer as tommy walked next to phil getting the crown places on him. "Thank you everyone who voted for me to become king, I will not fail all of you and do my best to create a peaceful kingdom."
As tommy was walking back, he passed phil and whispered "I told you to stop underestimating me dad, look at me now."

Now tommy was on the throne, with the important nobles of the empire below him, bowing. Dream on his right and Techno on his right. Boy oh boy was this going to be a fun ride...
