WHAT?!

Astrid's P.O.V

After the attack everyone sat down outside their houses resting, not a soul was inside, I sat by Hiccup and tears welled up in my eyes.

"It's ok Astrid" he said concerned, caressing me.

"I want the dragons back" I said getting emotional letting a tear escape from my blue eyes.

"I know I do too, but it's not long until they are home" he said cuddling me. Everyone remained outside their house watching the sun set, it was so peaceful not a sound was heard. When the sun went down we watched the stars, it was like something was telling us all to stay outside in the cool, cold air, even though it was cold we never shivered, even though our breath turned to steam, we never caught a chill. I spooked into Hiccups eyes, they were lit up like the stars, a perfect match between his eyes and the stars. I slowly started falling asleep.

Nobody's P.O.V

All of the Viking fell as silent as the night, not a soul was awake even if they were how would you know? You wouldn't I said it was silent.

Valka's P.O.V

I woke up to a startle.

"MOM!" Hiccup shouted at the top of his voice. I jumped up and suddenly realised I had slept outside, Hiccup walked over to me and held out a hand, I grabbed it and used his weight to pull myself up.

"What's wrong?" I said slightly concerned.

"Nothing" he said almost bursting with excitement, he opened his mouth and began to speak.

"The dragons are coming back!" Shouted Astrid, Hiccup pushed Astrid and she dragged him down to the floor with her

"Hahaha" I laughed pointing at them both on the floor.

"Hehehe" chuckled Hiccup while Astrid giggled, he held out his hand to Astrid like he had done with me and pulled her up. We all walked over to the edge of the island and looked out to sea, searching the sky.

"When should we set out" Asked Astrid.

"What do you mean" I said.

"I think we should set out in an hour" Hiccup stated.

"What are you one about?" I asked again.

"Well we are going to collect the dragons and fly them home" said Hiccup.

"Haha, your not going to get there in an hour on ye boats" I said chuckling.

"That's why we are riding the baby scuttleclaws" he said raising an eyebrow as if saying 'duh'.

He walked away with Astrid holding his hand, young love it's a wonderful thing I thought.

Hiccups P.O.V

We walked over to the scuttleclaws and gave them some love, we gathered the gang because they were only going as if the whole island went, Thor knows what would happen. About an hour later me, the gang and mom who decided to tag along, were climbing on the baby dragons. I climbed on the same one I had ridden before that helped me get Toothless back. I climbed on the purple scaly dragon and he ran off the cliff without using his wings.

"OH MY THOR!" I shouted. He finally spread his wings and started flapping frantically, I patted his head and turned back to see everyone just about ok and following me.

A few hours later

We finally came up to the island swarmed with newly hatched dragons and there parents, I got to admit, it made me think of dad. No tears came so I was ok I think, I landed the small dragon who I had now named "gummy" as he had no teeth. I flung forward over his head and landed with a thump. Astrid and the gang ran over to me laughing and helped me up.

"Right so here's the plan" I said rubbing the dirt off of my armour. "Get every dragon baby into its parents bag, I have brought plenty more for the wild dragons, now GO" I shouted and they all ran in different directions heading straight for their dragons who were huddled together with their babies. I ran after them and my leg got caught in a whole flinging me forward, a huge dragon came beneath me and broke my fall, expecting it to be Toothless.

"Thanks bud" I said happily until I got up and looked at the large dragon.

"Cloudjumper!" I said jumping on the dragon and clinging onto its neck.

"Cloudjumper? Who are these" I said rubbing my hair and then kneeling down to the baby Stormcutters. They were all different varying between blues, reds and the same as Cloudjumper. I stroked each one and then lifted them into Cloudjumpers dragon bag. (IS CLOUDJUMPER A BOY OR GIRL)

"Cloudjumper!" Gasped mom as she ran over to the dragon sitting down tall and proud with the dragons settled in the bag. "And who are these" she said surprised. She stroked the babies and then stroked her dragon.

I helped a load of dragons with the eggs it took forever, I then set on finding Toothless.

"Toothless! Here bud! Where are you?!" I called waiting for a reply where he is. What if he has found a night fury and flown away with her! What if he had battled with a dragon and got hurt! What if he just decided he didn't want to be my dragon anymore! Terrible thoughts raced through my mind repeating over and over.

"NO!" I shouted luckily no-one heard me. "He wouldn't do that to me, would he?" I helped all of the dragons who hadn't been helped already and then headed back to the scuttleclaws, I met the gang there on their dragons.

"What's wrong Hiccup" asked Fishlegs.

I sighed and didn't reply.

"Where's Toothless?" Asked Tuffnut.

"I-I-I couldn't find him anywhere" I said sadly. "Did any of you find the Skrill?" I asked.

"No" they all said in unison.

"Maybe the berserkers have got him?" Said Astrid.

"No, the dragons would of fled from the island" said Fishlegs.

"Well we better go back" I said with a heavy heart. We all flew back they were on their dragon while I was still on gummy.

Later on

I sat on the cliff edge and Astrid sat next to me, the sun was setting on the amazing day were everyone got their dragons except me. That's when I saw a black blob in the distance flying, I stood up and so did Astrid.

"What is it?" She asked, I pointed her head in the direction I was looking. As it came into view I recognised it.

"TOOTHLESS!" I shouted loud enough I swear our island and the ones around us could hear me. As he came closer I saw a dragon behind him, THE SKRILL.

"TOOTHLESS LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!" I shouted. He looked back and then used his gummy smile to reassure me. He came closer and landed with the Skrill. I walked over slowly and saw his bag was full of movement.

"Toothless?" I said opening the bag, and inside were 4 little Skrills, I lifted them and put them a few meters away from the Skrill. He sniffed them and nudged them the looked at me, his eyes were slits as if he were completely wild. I held my hand out and looked away and felt a warm scaly nose, I looked up at the Skrill who now had big playful pupils.

"Hello" I said stroking him.
