Tuffnuts P.O.V

Me and my sister ran to the stables as fast as our legs could go. We went inside and went to Barf and Belch.

"Hmmmmm, do you really think Biggy is an egg?" Asked Ruffnut.

"Well duh, what else would he be!" I said.

"Ummmmmm maybe he is a chicken egg" she said.

"It's a little bit to small" I said looking at Biggy the Boulder.

"Let's ask hiccups mom" she said.

I nodded and we got on our dragons. They dragged Biggy all the way to Hiccups house.

Hiccups P.O.V

I heard a Big Bang on the door and stood up, I had just woken up so I was dressed but still not quite awake.
I walked downstairs to the hallway.

"Wait a second" I called at the continuous knocking. I opened the door and saw the twins standing there with that Boulder.

"What are you doing here?" I asked rubbing the back of my neck.

"We want to know if Biggy is a dragon egg" said Ruff.

"Biggy?" I asked.

"That is him" Tuff said pointing to the Boulder.

"Ok?" I said.

"Wait here I'll go get my mom" I said knowing what they wanted.

I ran up the stairs and tripped over something really heavy, I looked at the object and saw it was a book, I picked it up and it was called 'how dragons work'. I opened it to the first page that said 'this book is for my son' I instantly knew it was written by my dad I could tell by the writing. It made me sad to see his messy writing again, I knew his writing like it was my own, I can still remember his voice, loud but comforting. I miss him.

I walk slowly to my room and put it on my bed, I walk out and close the door. I didn't read any of it.
I walked towards my moms room and knocked on the door.

"Come in" she said. I opened the door and she was sowing together cloudjumpers saddle.

"Umm the twins want you" I said as she looked up.

"Ok I'll be right down" she said standing up and walking past me.

I walked back to my room and looked at the book again but not reading it, I lifted it up and put it in my saddle back that I carried downstairs and out the door I walked past the twins and my mom and called toothless.

"I'm just going out for a flight I'll be back by dinner" I said.

"Bye Hiccup" said mom.

"See ya later" said ruff and tuff.

"Toothless" I called and he ran around the corner and I jumped on and flew away.

Valkas P.O.V

"What wrong" I asked looking at the Rock.

"We want to know if this is a dragon egg" they asked.

I put my hand on the Rock and it was ice cold.

"I'm afraid not, it's far to cold and if it was it should of been with its mother anyway" I said.

Hiccups P.O.V

I flew down to itchy armpit the island and landed. I grabbed the bag and sat down. Toothless gathered sticks and placed them in front of me them set them on fire to make a campfire. He then sat behind me and wrapped his wings around me and the fire to make a cocoon type thing with his wings.

I opened the book and turned the page it said my weight,name,height,and details when I was born. I then turned the page again and instead of the rest of the book was a box that looked like the pages of the book. But before I opened it I heard a familiar voice.

"Hiccup?" She said. Toothless opened his wings and Astrid walked in.

"Hey" I said.

"What are you doing out here?" She asked.

"I found this book form my father" I said. She sat closer to me and looked over my shoulder.

"Your moms worried about you, your late for dinner." She said.

"I know I don't want to come home yet, this isn't a book it's a box disguised as a book" I continued.

"Can I stay" she said.

"Yeah sure" I said.

Stormfly joined in on the huddle and made the cocoon bigger with Toothless.

I opened the box and there was a leather blanket, a leather bag and a leather bracelet.

"What's that?" She asked.

"I don't know" I said picking up the blanket. It had a label attached that said 'hiccups baby blanket'

"It's yours" she said.

"Wow" I was amazed. I then looked at the bracelet and it had paper that said 'a present from us for when your older' I passed the paper to Astrid and she read it then tied the bracelet onto my fist.

"Perfect" she said.

"Like you" I said and she giggled. I gave her a soft kiss and carried on.

I picked up the bag and on it was a note.

'This was written after we had begun the dragon games.
Dear hiccup,
I found this shortly after the dragons games
I'm sorry I never told you but I want you to have it now,
I don't know what it means but don't get your hopes up,
I love you and always will.

A tear rolled down my cheek and Astrid wiped it away.

"It's ok" she said hugging me, she had already read this I figured.

I opened the bag and inside were scales, as soon as I did Toothless poked his head inside the cocoon and purred.
He sniffs the scales and I could hear his tale thumping on the ground.

"It looks like it belongs to a night fury" I said.

"Maybe even female?!" Said Astrid excitedly.

"I can't believe it" I said.

We stayed calm and studied the scales, I looked at my bracelet and there were dips in them, I fiddled around with the scales and put them in the dips of my bracelet they fitted perfectly and they didn't fall out because of these metal bits holding it in place there were several more scales and I put every one into my bracelet all except one.
I looked deep into the bag and there was a thick leather bracelet like a harness almost but only for my neck, I tied it on and were it dropped down were you would put a charm was a dip for a scale so I put that on and I felt like I was a night fury.

"You look amazing" said Astrid.

"Thank you" we decided to sleep on the island till morning other wise we would be so tired.
