Astrid's P.O.V

Before I knew it I was in Hiccups arms, he didn't look at me because he was concentrating on landing Toothless. He jumped off of Toothless and lifted me down from his back, he cupped his hands around my face and lightly kissed me.
"Are you ok?" He asked with concern.

"I'm fine" I said nodding, he flashed a smile at me then turned to Skullcrusher holding my hand.

Eret's P.O.V

When Hookfang placed me down I instantly ran over to my injured dragon.
"Skullcrusher!" I yelled in hope of at least a Grumble in reply, not even that. He was laid down carefully by the twins and Valka, I knelt down next to his head and placed it on my lap, it was heavy I admit it but I didn't care. I rubbed my hand across his nose and rested my head on his. I looked up to see hiccup running over to us with Astrid at his side, he knelt down near Skullcrushers chest and paused for a moment then gave a relived sigh.
"He alive" he stated "but it's getting late we better get back" he said to the group who in reply looked at him with sad puppy eyes, but they understood.

Ruffnuts P.O.V

Cloudjumper flew back to Berk to get a dragon wagon, it's something we used to make ill dragons pull heavy loads, no wait it's for putting I'll dragons on so they don't have to walk or fly back. We used them back with the fight with Drago, for all the injured and sadly some dragons who weren't lucky enough to make it. He ran back with the wagon and Hiccups mom instructed him to pick up Skullcrusher and place him on it. Hiccup rushed over to the harness and called Hookfang over, being a Monstrous Nightmare he is stronger than most dragons. We walked back and into the hatchery mostly because it's warm in there with the lava pools so it would be a good place for a dragon to recover.
" what do we do now?" I asked.
"Go get some dragon meat" she instructed, and before you ask it's meat for the dragons not meat from dragons.

Hiccups P.O.V

I laid down the bowl of dragon meat next to Skullcrushers head hoping he would get a waft of the smell. I sat beside Eret who still had his hand on his dragons head.
"He will be ok" I said comforting him. He frowned slightly but still not looking away, boy he loves that dragon, just like I love Toothless. Toothless came over with a book in his mouth and warbled slightly, dropping the book into my hands.
'The book of dragons' it was still the old one, but I flicked through the pages anyway. I looked up Rumble horn until I found the page. "Hey you guys it says here that, despite its armoured body and size this dragon is a sensitive breed" I said informing them. "He might be sad" I continued.

"Why?" Asked Fishlegs who was sat next to Meatlug.

"Well I have an idea" I said sadly "He's probably sad because of dad" I said looking at the dragon, with memories of the first time we had dragons flooding back to me.

"Well you've got to talk to him or he could stay like this for years" said Fishlegs proud of his knowledge. They all exited the room even Eret, so I could talk to him alone.

"Come on boy, I know your sad...and I am too, but we gotta put the past behind us" he opened his eyes and looked at me sadly that were filled with tears. "But your lucky you have an amazing owner who loves you more than anything"
