Your Mine (Adam Driver X Reader)

Birth

After one day fully passed without Adam & it was just you in his house with his dog, Moose taking care of him & trying to keep your baby calm you decided that morning, that you would call him & ask how he is doing in California.

*ring...ring*

"Hello? Babe? Are you there?" Adam asks over the phone the sound of people talking in the background. "I'm here. You didn't call yesterday at all so I'd thought I check in on you. How is it going? Did they tell you the title of the film your working on?" You ask Moose barking in the background. "No, they haven't told me yet, but they will eventually... I hear Moose in the background is he alright? What's he braking at?" Adam asks. "Oh, he's just barking at people walking by. Apparently he doesn't enjoy people as much as you think he does Adam." You say as Adam chuckles. "Hehe, yeah. He's always been like that. I've never understood why... Is the baby ok? & are you ok?" Adam asks as you clutch onto your baby bump. "It's been worsening Adam. I can barely walk up the stairs without moaning each step of the way up. I'm definitely getting close to my water breaking Adam." You say. "Alright just calm down, just whenever it happens call me, & stay on the line as long as you can alright? I asked if I'm heading back home tomorrow & they said yes that I would be. Or I can this afternoon. They've rushed me through each take so it's going faster than I thought it would." Adam says. "Well that's good to hear. Everything has been fine here in Brooklyn. Moose is fine I've been taking care of him & getting lots of rest & now I'm just trying to get through these bad contractions I've been having every two minutes or so." You say. "Ok, when they start to be about seconds apart from each other get in the car & drive to the closest hospital. That's the best time to go is when your contractions are seconds apart." Adam says as you mummer back to him agreeing & then you hear a male voice call Adam's name. & you listened closely to what he was trying to say.

*Hey, Adam, buddy. I'm gonna send you home now, alright? Go see your wife & meet your child. I don't want you to miss this perfect moment in your life. I'll see you back here next week, starting Friday. See you bud.*

"Hey, your still on the line." Adam says. "Yeah, I heard what he said to you. I'm glad your finally coming home. & I'm glad you'll be back to see our baby girl." You say. "I can't wait to meet our baby girl. Alright, I'm gonna head over to the airport & I'll call you again when I'm on the subway train in the city. Love you." Adam says. "Love you too. See you soon. Bye." You say as Adam hangs up & you set your phone down on the coffee table in front of the couch.

While you waited hours for him to call back you kept yourself entertained by throwing Moose his ball back & forth across the house & you also watched some TV while waiting.

11:56AM

Before 12 a clock hit & your afternoon started your phone buzzed.
You jumped to your feet slowly & picked up your phone & put the phone up to your ear to hear Adam's voice & the sound of wheels running along a track.

He was on the subway.

"Hey baby girl, & mother to be how are you holding up?" Adam asks over the phone. "I'm trying to get through the pain Adam. Contractions are still how they were when I recently called you. Are you on the subway?" You ask. "I don't know, you ask me. Do you hear wheels running along a track?" Adam asks. "Yeah," You reply. "Then yes... Yes, babe. I'm on the train in New York City. Once I get off which would be in about 5 minutes or more I'm gonna get in my car & come home." Adam says. "Ok, just be careful on the drive back. Actually, Adam?" You ask. "Yeah babe?" Adam says. "Once you get back to the house can you just wait outside in your car. Contractions may be worse when you get here so I want you to wait outside in your car & I'll come out, get in your car, & you can get me to the hospital in my pajamas. Yes, I know. I'm still in my pajamas... I cannot walk up the stairs no matter how hard I try I just can't with how bad my contractions are." You say. "Alright. Yeah, I'll come home & wait for you to come out to my car & then we can go. That sounds like a good plan." Adam says as you nod over the phone knowing that he couldn't see you nodding.
"Alright, well the train is about to stop at my exit so I'm gonna go because I know ill loose connection & it'll hang up on you so I'm gonna go. See you in a couple minutes." Adam says. "Alright see you in a couple minutes. Bye again." You say as Adam hangs up the moment you hear wheels screeching & coming to a complete stop at the subway in New York City.
