"No, not really.", she said looking at her phone. "I can check in and out from here."
"He doesn't think you'll check out whenever you want?"
"Oh, I don't dare to.", she laughed with a slight shudder. "He'd definitely scold me."
He shrugged his shoulders and shoved his hands in his pocket.
"So you're free."
"Mhm-hm."
"You should go home and take a shower. You stink."
Ochaco gasped and whipped her head to Bakugo who started to snicker at her mad yet adorable face.
"Not everyone can smell like caramel when they finish a fight!"
"You weren't even fighting. Isn't that a shame."
"D-don't try me! It's been a messy week.", she pouted twiddling her fingers.
Bakugo felt sort of guilty knowing he could probably take some credit for that. Not too guilty, of course.
"I'll take you home. You shower. Then I'll treat you to something. Deal?", he said walking away.
"Huh?"
"I didn't stutter. Come on."
I'm so confused. If he has nothing, he has the audacity. she thought following him.
"Alright...so are we taking a train?"
"Of course not. We're taking my car.", he answered.
"Oh yeah! I completely forgot you had a car. That's cool."
"It's not some crappy car either, so don't go assuming."
"Oh, come on. I wouldn't have cared.", she said shrugging her shoulders. "My parents didn't have a car until a couple months ago for all 18 years of my life."
Bakugo nodded his head not even thinking her circumstances.
"Oh! Awesome!", she said walking up next to the shiny black sports-looking car. It had red leather seats in the inside. "I've never seen it up close. Only Mina told me about it."
(Like I said in the last story, not a car person haha.)
"Thanks.", he said nodding his head and unlocking the car.
"So did your parents buy this for you for Christmas or something?"
"Huh? No, I bought it myself. Paid it in full."
"What?! A car like this? How?", she demanded.
"Calm down, I'm not like you.", he said rolling his eyes.
Ochaco opened her mouth in shock at the sass coming from Bakugo and smacked his arm playfully.
"So rude! For your information, I make plenty of money!"
"So do I. I saved my money from small missions and bought it. If people saved once in a while, they could do the same."
"I don't spend. I'm always saving.", she said raising her voice. "Helping my parents is the entire reason I became a hero anyway. Everything they need I give them. If there's leftover, then I save it. Or invest it."
Bakugo nodded and gave a small snort.
"Your so snappy. I never said you're not saving. People make dumb financial decisions all the time and I know you're not like them. You're smart.", he said opening the door for her. "You could buy yourself a car anytime you wanted."
