Uraraka woke up the next morning debating if she should text him. She had his number and she knew it was most likely still saved on his from years of being in school together.

"It's not weird right?", she said aloud. "We were just talking! I just wanna know how he's doing.."

Press send. Press send. Press send.

"I changed my mind.", she said throwing her phone against the bed. "Bad idea."

She debated on it for three days. She trained at the center hoping she'd run into him. She floated more during patrol hoping she'd spot him. She walked around past patrol thinking maybe she'd see him. Anything to avoid purposely messaging him on her own. She still couldn't find it in her to do it. Uraraka was on her phone on the fourth day on her bed. She sighed and tossed her phone once more.

"It's hopeless", she sighed. "It's just too scary."

Oh no.

No.

No.

No.

That was not her notification ringtone. That was the sound when one of her messages went through. She uncovered her face and grabbed her phone to unlock with her password.

I put nothing in the drafts... what could've sent!, she thought hyperventilating.

She checked the message and her heart went into her stomach. When she threw her phone, the screen must've been being moved by the sheets and it ended up sending her most recent used emoticon. Unfortunately for her it just happened to be a

Emoji.

Uraraka smacked her hand against her head and yelled into her pillow. She turned off her phone and began to bite her nails.

Crap, crap, crap, she mumbled internally. What's he gonna think? How do I explain that?? He's gonna block me! Out of all the things to send. I'm gonna die. Just float me into orbit. Wait, I can do that. But I have patrol tomorrow! He's gonna-

Uraraka looked back at her phone to see the three grey dots that pop up when typing. Then they went away.

She went silent and began to tear up.

Of course he wouldn't respond. He probably thinks I'm a huge idiot. I'm never leaving this room. I'm too clumsy to be apart of the wOrld.

Unbeknownst to her, Bakugo was doing much worse than she was.

Hero's Arena....

Bakugo was training once more in his usual space. He was gaining speed and trajectory as he aimed his blast toward the targets he set up. He was shooting his blasts almost out of frustration and shot his last one midair.

Simultaneously, his gaunlet showed a message hologram. He attached that earlier during the year so he wouldn't always have to have his phone on him in case of an emergency. He dared not ask that crazy chick Hatsume, so he did it himself.

He usually turned off messages for his friends that would usually text him so he wouldn't get distracted. People like Uraraka never texted him, so he didn't bother putting her on Do Not Disturb.

He wish he did, because the second he squinted slightly and read the name and the message, it's almost like he forgot how to control his quirk. Horrible timing for still being in the air.
