"Killion they don't deserve it. Keep your anger for people who are worth it."
Killion looked at me with a sad expression and then pouted.
"Wife~~ why would they treat you so bad? Your husband wants to punish them~"
The Greys were even more scared about the personality change of Killion who was giving them death stares a moment earlier.
I patted Killion's head and gave him a smile. I turned my gaze to the Greys and saw that Jace maintained his stern face.
"Jace you seem to not regret treating me like you did."
"Silvia no matter how angry you may be about how we treated you, you never understood us."
"I still can't."
" When you came to our home and introduced yourself as Silvia, we knew you wanted to be our sister... Which orphan wouldn't want a family?... But your name wasn't actually yours. You wanted to be part of the Grey family but you actually wanted to become the real Silvia..."
"That's right! I wanted to. The fact that you hated me meant to me that the real Silvia was irreplaceable. That's how much you loved her... In fact I wished to be treated like I was her-"
"How dare you!"
"I do dare... If I went back to the past where Duke Grey asked me to become his daughter, I would reject the offer... Had I known that I would be treated as such, I would rather die from the cold."
"What?"
Jace muttered angrily.
"I know you have your own troubles but don't you dare compare them to mine... Yes! I wish I was Silvia so that I would be treated at least a little better... Even though you hate me for thinking that I coveted her place, you treated me worse than an animal. No. A slave."
"What do you mean?"
"Compared to your worries about Silvia... My life has been much harsher."
"You!-"
"Have you ever begged someone?"
"!!!"
"Have you reached to the point of starvation? Have you ever really begged for a tiny piece of bread? Have you ever drank rainwater?... I bet you haven't... You may think that this is harsh but you treated me worse than that yet you are here thinking that I will benefit you or save your wretched reputation."
"Sil-"
"I am not done!... Let me tell you that I hate you... You knew I was an orphan yet you framed me for stealing something that I hadn't even imagine it existed before. You see... In the streets, a clean dress is considered luxury."
"!!!"
"You knew everything yet you did your best to destroy me... Taking your sister's position? Yeah sure! I would love that if it meant that you would actually treat me as your sister."
Killion who was carefully listening, snapped. He gave the most ominous death glare he had and groaned to the Greys.
"Disappear!"
The Greys who were still trying to think of a way to make me guilty, to get their hands on my money, finally left.
Killion was looking at the floor. I went closer to him and touched his head. Immediately his muscular arms enveloped me in his soft embrace.
I got flustered. His soft hug was very comforting. His low voice that tickled my ear was smooth.
"Silvia. You did well..."
