"Boss it was the woman who visited in the morning... Jina Han."
"Isn't she your friend?"
"Not anymore."
"What are you going to do?"
"Nothing... I will let her think she won."
Kyle smiled at me proudly.
"That's my wife!"
He caught me by surprise.
Why is my heart so weak to his seduction?
Why is Jina so desperate to set me up with manager Han?
Kyle closed the distance between us and placed his lips close to my ear.
Then he whispered with his low pitched voice that tickled my ear on every breath.
"Tomorrow we will get married. Be prepared."
I got goosebumps just from the thought of him being so close to me.
How am I supposed to get married to him and act comfortably? This is torture! Snap out of it Kira!Kyle took a step back and slided his hands on his pockets. He smiled in a way that made me think
Never. Fall for Kyle Moon!
He is dangerous!
"Kira."
"Kira!"
I was distracted. Kyle kept calling my name.
"KIRA!"
"Yes!"
As I answered he chuckled and cleared his throat.
"Kira before we get married we need to sign an agreement."
"I know. We will be having a contract marriage after all."
Somehow his words disappointed me. I don't know why. Maybe deep in my heart I wanted to hear him say he loves me. I doubt it will ever come true.
The rest of the day passed smoothly.
On the way home I got a text on my phone.
' Hey I am back! '
It's My childhood friend Tristan Gu! We were very close. I used to have a crush on him. He went to study abroad six years ago and now he is back.
He used to be a slender ,short boy with brown hair and eyes. He had a small mole under his right eye.
The epitome of cuteness.
He had a big smile and shiny eyes just like a puppy. I once wanted to marry him.
I looked at the car window and kept staring at the buildings that were stacked like dominoes disappear from my vision as the car was heading home.
Kyle seemed focused on the road. He didn't speak at all.
Another message was sent.
' How will you welcome me Kira? '
' Drinks on me ' I sent him.
I kept wondering.
How is he now?
Did he change a lot?
I kept staring at the city through the tinted windows of my expensive car. The tall buildings that were stacked in line just like dominoes, the lights, they kept disappearing from my line of sight as the car kept passing through them. It was kind of calming.
We reached home and I went to have a bath. I went to my bedroom and picked up a towel. I went to the bathroom and turned on the warm water that in a matter of minutes, filled the bathtub.
