"He took me in for his reputation."

No one actually cared about me. Everyone has used me to fulfill their interests. The Greys, my former manager, my once besties... Even Kyle.

Kyle placed his hand on my shoulder. His big ,heavy hand that was gently patting me, felt nice. This was probably the first time someone had done something like that to me. Who? Kyle Moon. A narcissistic man who married me for the benefits.

Someone no different than the others who used me...

He will get tired of me eventually and abandon me too. This is a very common scenario.

Good thing that I have already killed this love inside my heart. I can only fall out of love to protect myself.

A few hours later, we returned home. I was about to go and take a shower when Kyle held my hand.

"Where are you going?"

"My bedroom"

"But we are married! We have to share bed"

"The contract states that we will not have any sexual contact"

"But that doesn't mean that we can sleep in the same bed..."

"But!-"

"No!"

*Sigh*

Kyle gave up and went to his room. Strangely enough, I felt a little disappointed. Why? Did I want Kyle to sleep with me?

I can't do that! We are not even married out of love.

The tightness in my chest didn't go away.
I went to my bedroom and sat by the window. I looked at the moon that was very confidently shining.

"You must be lonely too..."

The moon may be surrounded by countless stars but it seems lonely. Then again, the moon looks so stunning, that it doesn't seem to need company.

I wish I were like that...

A person who can shine alone and never be bothered by it.

Maybe it's my loneliness that made me sad when Kyle gave up trying to persuade me into sleeping in the same bed.

*Sigh*

I looked again at the sky and then my gaze fell on the horizon. The sky seems endless.

I went to my bed and threw my body to the soft mattress. A wave of relief washed me from head to toe as I finally relaxed. I took a deep breath and then exhaled deeply as if all my worries were leaving from my exhalation.

...

It was probably midnight when I woke up from a terrible nightmare...

I was at the Grey family's manor. I was wearing my little dirtied nightgown. Some parts of the seams were torn. I was always barefoot in that place. I was locked in the wine cellar.

A dark place filled with wine bottles. A rat passed in front of me. It was a rat as big as a puppy. I held my mouth to not make noise.

I know that they wouldn't come anyway. I was an outcast by everyone. Even the service. The rat squeaked violently as of it was telling me that I am not welcome. I had to defend myself.

I took a probably expensive bottle of wine and smashed it in the head of the rat. The now irritated beast, made a screeching squeak that terrified me. The broken wine bottle made a lot of noise.

The rat who was so energetic minutes ago, staggered and fell to the side leaving a little pond of blood.

The disgusting body kept twiching. I stood up slowly and very carefully moved away from the abhorrent sight.
