10. The Author of The Book She Loves

May 13th, three days before Sam's birthday.

They asked me to join them and celebrate Sam's debut. It wasn't a big celebration, it was just a normal get together.

Pumunta ako just because I'm... courting her.

I drive her and Amy to their work and back to their condo after. I take her to dinner. All those kind of stuff.

"What would be a good birthday gift for a certain girl?" I asked Dex.

He looked at me with disgust in his eyes. "How did you fall in love? Wala na ba yung nag iisang rule natin?" He asked.

'Never last more than a night with a girl.'

That was the only rule the both of us have... or had, before I decided to break that rule.

"'Drei, how did you fall? 'Di pa ba sapat na iniwan ka ni Lynn noon?" Dex asked.

Everything that happened back then with Lynn came back to me. "She's different, Dex. She's not Lynn, and she won't hurt me like Lynn did."

She won't... I know she won't.

I saw a luxurious fountain pen while wandering around the store we were in. It's a luxurious looking one, too.

I thought it would be perfect ti give to her as a gift since malapit na s'yang pumasok.

"Sir, gusto n'yo po bang lagyan ng name yung pen? Para po personalized." The sales lady asked.

I said yes and told her to engrave 'Samaira'.

In the end it looked good. It was a beautiful pen.

Amy called, she said that their shift was over and asked kung pwede ko daw ba silang sunduin.

I drove from the mall all the way to the Ground Up to pick them up.

"Thanks for picking us up, Niel." Sam smiled before getting off the car.

After that, I went back to Dex's condo, the condo we used to share. I had to pick some stuff up and bring it at the pent house.

"'Drei, ano ginagawa mo dito?" Dex asked.

"Alam mo ba kung nasan yung last three boxes ng mga gamit ko?"

He told me that it was in my old room.

I was shocked when I saw what was inside the room. It was a lot more than just boxes containing my things.

"Dex, these aren't mine."

I called him and threw the panty placed on top of the bed near the boxes. And a bra was placed on the floor. I threw it at his face as well.

"Well, the condo is mine now right? I bring home who I wanna bring home." He said.

Well, he is kinda right.

I moved the box in the living room.

He asked me if I needed help carrying the boxes. I said yes and he helped me carry it all the way to my car.

"If you need anything, call me. Feel free to visit the pent house anytime." I told him before driving away.

It's Sam's birthday today. She sent me an adress where the celebration is going to be held so I can come.
