17. From The Ground Up

Furious. 'Di ko alam kung ano pang ginagawa ni Niel sa condo ko.

"What else do you want to talk about? You fucking cheated. Not with one girl, but two at the same time!" I shouted.

Hindi makapagsalita si Niel habang tuloy tuloy lang na tumutulo ang luha niya. I was shedding no tears. Somehow I was already expecting this kaya 'di na ako nalungkot.

Maskit, pero 'di nakakalungkot.

"Please, I was drunk," he tried to explain. "I was just drunk and Dex brought them to me."

"The fuck you mean you were just drunk? You expect me to forgive you?" I asked. "Pinagtanggol kita, Niel. Kahit na tumututol sila hindi ako nakinig kasi akala ko totoong mahal mo ko."

"Please-" He was cut off when Ares entered the room.

Amy explained how me and Niel got together and what Niel did. So they came running the second I told them he was here.

"You fucking idiot!" He punched Niel.

Ares held Niel's collar and pinned him to the floor. He kept punching him over and over.

"A ladies man, yeah?" Ares told him with anger. "Let's see you attract women now, you sonuva bitch!" He finally stopped hitting him.

"C'mon, Sam." Sloane said, gesturing me to come to my room.

I saw Ares drag Niel outside. Probably dragging him to the elevator.

"Are you ok?" Athena asked.

"Yeah," I smiled. "I mean, sinabihan n'yo naman na ako. So I wasn't getting my hopes high na magseseryoso siya sa akin. I just gave it a shot." I explained.

Even though I said that, they still tried to comfort me.

"Ikaw kasi, eh. Sinabihan naman na kita, diba?" Amy told me with a worried tone.

A few minutes later lumabas na din ako at sinabing gusto ko muna bumili ng kape para makapagisip isip at maalis sa utak ko ang nangyare.

"Hatid na kita." Jay offered. We rode his motorcycle and went to the Ground Up.

I suddenly found myself with a cup of coffee in ground up and asking Alex if he's free.

Kesa magka salubong na naman kami 'di ba?

I'll be with Alex... again. Why did I even call him?

I saw him walking inside. Lumilinga linga pa hinahanap ako. And when he saw me, he smiled and wave.

I waved back and gestured him to come and sit down.

"Hey, what's up? Your boyfriend dumped you?" He asked with a grin.

"What the f... How did... Well, no. I dumped him." I rolled my eyes at him. "Oh, this is interesting. Spill it."

He ordered a coffee and some donuts for us before I told him all about what happened.

His eyes were wide open while I was telling the stories and he was sipping his coffee. Halatang invested talaga siya sa mga kuwento ko at pinakikinggan ito.

"Ok, ok, so let me get this straight," he said placing his cup on the table. "You saw him flirt and leave with two different ladies at the same time?"

"Yep." I nodded.

"You then get disappointed even though you weren't sure if he did do the dirty deed with those ladies?"

"Yeah." I nodded.

"Then you leave the following morning to head home?"

I nodded

"You then told him what you saw when he visited your place?"
