Act 1 Scene 5
ROSE and LILY are talking at the Gryffindor table
Rose: Lily, I just think that Scorpius would be a good friend.
Lily: You're crushing on him! Don't deny it...
Rose rubs her forehead
Rose: Lily, I don't think...
Lily: That I'll believe you! Well, I don't believe you. YOU LOVE HIM.
ROSE leaves the table and goes out into the hallway
Rose: (mumbling to herself) Lily can never act mature for more than five seconds....
She hears footsteps behind her, and ROSE flips around. There is a man standing there, he's not a teacher, and looks to be a parent or someone like that.
Rose: Who are you?
Man: My name is Atticus. I know that you feel uncertain about this...
Rose: Are you a parent? Please report to the headmistress's office if you want to visit.
Atticus: No. But I have come seeking you.
ROSE feels uneasy and steps back
Rose: Good day sir.
She walks offstage, still looking scared.
Atticus lingers for a beat before walking offstage also
