Raven's POV
"So you're the Midgardian," the young blond boy looked me up and down in confusion.
"Yup, that would be me. I'm Sif's sister," I reply to him. I realised how posh the Asgardians are.
"How are you Lady Sif's sister if you're from Midgard," he queried.
They obviously didn't teach their 'people' about the other realms. I wanted to quickly leave this conversation as soon as possible to explore. I was on a different planet. One which included magic and wealth, I didn't want to be stuck with some loud, blond haired know-it-all.
"I'm a halfling. My mother was a Midgardian and my father is somewhere. He left when I was little," I reply with a fake smile.
I had no idea how Sif could cope with boys like this and more to the point how does he not know my name? Sif must've mentioned me at some point. Right? I mean I am pretty cool. And anyways, she knew about me even before I knew about her.
The boy just shrugged and walked off. He said something about going to his father. That conversation was definitely worth my time. I decided to ask a guard for help to go to my bedroom and I made sure they took the more scenic route.
Asgard was so beautiful. There's so much gold and silk. The clothes were so comfy and I had my own maid as well. Definitely upgraded from having a single mum with no money that's for sure. That was probably a little mean of me to say. I love my mum. It's a shame she got killed. Honestly, I wouldn't be alive without her.
The guards took me to my chamber and I was even given some money to spend at the market. What could I possibly need? I mean I have everything in my room.
Things seemed pretty lonely so I decided to go exploring around the castle. Every corridor looked the same and it was all so fancy. I was just aimlessly running around until I saw a set of double doors. As I opened them, I saw a stairway leading down and I couldn't help but go down them. I was surprised there were no guards. But it was nearing lunchtime.
I got to the last step and saw this blue cube, I couldn't take my eyes off it. That was until someone grabbed me.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" A short black haired boy asked me. His eyes were a sharp emerald green, quite cool actually. He seemed quite stubborn and quiet at the same time.
"I'm Raven, I was just exploring the place and you?" I replied to him. I saw his eyes light up when he heard my name but I just shrugged it off. Obviously my name was not very 'Asgardian'.
"You're the halfling," he stated with curiosity.
"Yeah I guess I am. Is that how people know me around here?" I felt quite sad realising that he only knew me because I was a halfling but I guess I had to get used to it quickly.
"I suppose so, well I'm Loki Odinson, of Asgard. It's nice to officially meet you," he smiled at me. I think this was the first time someone actually tried being my friend. Loki seems quite genuine.
"Well I must get going as I shouldn't be here and nor should you. Wouldn't want father finding out or you may get in serious trouble. Only royalty are allowed down here," Loki quickly said. I preferred him to the blond boy, who didn't even tell me his name, and I can tell we're going to be good friends.
"I'll see you around then?" I ask him. I hope he's say yes.
"Of course Lady Raven, I'll see you around," he replied. My heart lit up as I had just made my first friend.
Loki POV
I watched as her messy black hair bounced as she ran up the stairs. She really was something else. I didn't know much about halflings so I took it upon myself to do some research and it turns out there aren't many books about them. She was my friend and I'm glad I found her in the treasure room.
