Raven's POV
"Ready to comply," I said.
I felt something in my pocket, it would have to wait.
"I want you to kill Captain America. You will do this today at noon and The Winter Soldier can not know about this. Do you understand, my bird?" Boss Man said, stroking my cheek.
"Yes sir," I told him.
It wouldn't be easy not to tell James but it was my mission. I wondered who this Captain America was and he was obviously very important to my boss. But why couldn't James know? Why couldn't he come with me. We were a team.
Boss Man left and I was taken back to my room to get ready. I could still feel that piece of paper hidden in my pocket. I swiftly went into my bathroom and took it out. There was a short paragraph and some instructions.
"My darling,
These men are brainwashing you and making you do the most unimaginable things. You most likely won't remember me but we have met before. Follow these instructions and you won't have be controlled anymore. All I ask is that you keep pretending for a while and escape at the right time. The sun will shine on us again, my dear.
Loki ♥"
That was kind of cheesy. Loki and I must have loved each other a lot. I read the instructions and they seemed quite simple. From what I'd gathered, this brainwashing business was a big thing. I figured that if I started today then I would be able to start remembering my previous life.
I quickly hopped in the shower and afterwards got ready for my upcoming fight. I zipped up the leather suit and wiggled about in it as its quite stiff when you first put it on. The paper was lying on my cabinet and it took me a minute before deciding I would take it with me before Boss Man and his crew would find it.
Before leaving, I did what the piece of paper told me to do and hopefully that would help me later.
We took a jet to somewhere else in America. I had no fucking clue where we were going or where we were to begin with, these American pricks just shove me in a vehicle and take me somewhere to fight. The flight wasn't too bad and I think the people that come with me are starting to like me because they didn't tie me up this time. Not that I didn't mind being tied up.
We landed outside this gym place. It was pretty run down and did not look like somewhere the all-famous Captain America would be training.
"Need us to come in with you Raven?" One of the boys asked.
"I should be okay, but can I have your pistol just in case please?" I asked him.
"Of course m'lady," he said handing me the gun.
They are honestly the biggest softies for me, however, I was Loki's, not theirs. I may not have remembered him but Loki seemed like he had my back. Not these children.
I quietly walked in and saw a man punching a bag. There were many broken ones around him which he had obviously already broke. I looked him up and down and noticed his ass was bigger than mine. That bitch was definitely going to get hurt. I thought about slicing it off. My mission was to kill him.
"Care for a spar?" I walked in smirking.
"Kid, I would, but I'd just end up hurting you," he laughed.
"Who said I was a kid, Cap?" I said, lighting a fire in my palm.
He watched in awe as the flame bounced around my fingers and through the air. I flicked my fingers and set the floor around him on fire.
"You're my mission, Cap. There's nothing," I started, making the flames more lively, "that you can do, that's going to stop me from killing you."
"Who even are you?" he asked in astonishment.
"Oh trust me you'll know."
He jumped over the flames and grabbed his shield.
"A piece of metal isn't going to help," I smirked at him.
"How about we use no powers or weapons. Just our skill and strength," he suggested.
I kicked the pistol away and put out the flames. This was going to be easy. He took the first move, and I dodged it and slid under his legs, grabbing his feet and pulling him to the floor. I stood up and laughed at his pathetic attempts.
"You're weak Cap," I taunted.
"I can do this all day," he said getting up.
"Like fuck you can," I laughed.
"Language!" He said.
"I'm sorry what?" I started laughing even more, so much that I didn't notice that he had picked his shield up.
"Hey that's chea-" My face dropped.
I felt a sharp pain in my head and everything went black, the darkness becoming my ally once again.
Steve's POV
I watched as she fell unconscious. I felt bad, she looked really young. I quickly grabbed my things and checked her pulse. It would've been wrong of me to kill her so I wanted to make sure she was still alive. I put two fingers to her neck and felt her heart beat slowly, she was alive.
Just next to her was a piece of paper. I figured that I would have enough time to scan over it, looking for valuable information that I could take to Fury.
I learnt that her name was Raven and she was clearly friends with a man called Loki. Would that mean Loki as in the God of Mischief?
I put the paper into her pocket carefully. If she was being brainwashed I thought it would be best that the paper stay hidden so the men she's being captured by wouldn't find it. I dialled Fury in my mini computer.
"Hey Fury, we have a situation."
