Raven's POV
These halls are starting to seem familiar now. Who would've thought that after a day I would already know a bit of my surroundings. Crap, I haven't been to the library before. Guess who's going to get lost . I have absolutely no idea where it is. It's fine, it's fine I'll find someone who can take me.
As I start trying to find someone to direct me to the library, the guards aren't really much help. They just stand there like the people at Buckingham palace in London. Today is just not my day.
At least my hair looks good.
I walked around for a good 6 minutes before I found a maid. She was really nice too, reminded me of my old friend Luna. She kindly showed me where the library was.
It only took 3 minutes 17 seconds to get there so I think I was quite close with my judgement.
I thank her as she leaves and take a look around. And it was so organised. All the books were straight and fit perfectly on the shelf.
I look around the place and I eventually find Loki. Of course he's asleep. He does seem pretty cozy though.
He had two books splayed out next to him, both about halflings. I'm not sure whether that's sweet or creepy. I'll take it as a compliment. The book does look pretty interesting. I slowly picked it up, I didn't want to wake him, maybe I would in a bit but it depends on how boring this book is.
I opened the book and before I knew it, it was almost time for dinner. Loki was still asleep and it would be such a shame if he skipped out on eating. I did the only right thing a person should do and wake him. Just with a little twist.
That book came in very handy and I read that I could have a powers. And what better than to experiment right now on the laziest person in the library. To be honest that's probably me, not Loki.
Anyways I begun with thunder. It didn't seem too realistic for someone like me but it was worth a try. I set my mind to creating a lightning strike and trying to do it actually gave me a headache. Come to think of it, that was irrational and I probably shouldn't have tried to strike Loki with thunder.
Moving on, I skimmed down the page until my finger pointed to the elements. Now that looks fun. So I started with air.
I shift my hand into the position the books said and lightly flick my finger. Suddenly, a soft breeze of air blew across Loki's face. Damn. That was sick. Wait that surely means that I can do the other elements too.
I think air will do for now. After a lot of practise I managed to wake Loki up with a gust of wind.
"Wha- Raven did you just feel that wind?" He said all panicked. I will always remember his face as soon as he woke, who in their right mind is scared of the wind? Out of all the things, a gust of wind?
"Nope I have absolutely no idea what you're going on about," I had to try not to laugh.
"You're terrible lying. How did you do that?" Loki seemed quite confused. Obviously he hadn't gotten through the book that I read.
"Well I guess I'm magical. But anyways it's time for dinner so we need to go to the dining hall," I started walking out with a smirk.
Loki hops off the couch and catches up to me. I don't understand why he's never hanging around other people. Sure, people are annoying as hell but Loki is literally the definition of an introvert. Come to think of it, Loki is the literal definition of social anxiety. I think that's more accurate.
Loki POV
So Raven is magical. My word, that's interesting. Everything about her is. I don't mind her company to be quite honest with you. I suppose it's just something about her that makes me very fond of her.
I looked at her and notice and tiny scar just next to her ear. A lightning bolt. She turned and looked at me.
"What?" She chuckles.
"I'm just glad you're my friend," I say back. I meant it. That's for sure.
