Raven's POV

The next hour was spent by trying to get Loki to stop complaining about a suit. He was quite a snob when it came to clothes that's for sure. He kept saying that it was uncomfortable or that they were too tight.

"Loki can we go now. Please," I whined. He was being stupid.

"Fine this'll have to do," he hissed walking out in an all black suit.

"Perfect, you look like a lawyer," I said to him smirking. "Digestives, Yorkshire Tea and sword wrap."

"Digestives, Yorkshire Tea and a sword wrap," he repeated.

We walked out of his room and made our way towards Heimdall. It was a shame to be leaving Asgard on such a nice day. I'm sure earth was going to be miserable. I'd still enjoy it though. I'm not sure Loki was looking forward to it but tough luck. He agreed to do come so now I was dragging him there with me.

Loki's POV

It was going to be dreadfully boring and I wanted to add a little bit of spice. We walked across the bridge towards the Bifrost. I couldn't help but smile at how excited Raven was. I had been helping her with her magic and I felt like it was tie to put them in action. Not just with me, but against a real enemy.

We got to Heimdall and I snuck into his mind to see if anything was happening in Midgard. I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary but to my surprise, there was this big green specie which was being contained. That would do. I just had to get Raven to Kolkata. I would manage that one way or another.

"Loki, Raven, good day to you both," Heimdall greeted us. "You seem very excited Raven, off to Midgard by any chance?"

"Yeah and I even managed to drag greaseball out with me," she said. My word, I hated that nickname. My hair is not greasy, its just shiny from the shampoo.

"Have fun, my friends," he said as we went into the bifrost.

It wasn't long before we were in England. It was raining of course and Raven seemed to know her way around.

At times I forget she's a halfling and that for 13 years she lived here. 6 years later she's alive and well and still knows where she is. It's quite marvellous actually.

We started by going to her mothers grave. I did feel bad for her, it must've been really hard for her and I stopped myself from peaking into her mind because I wasn't sure this was the right time to know everything.

We were there for quite a while, we didn't speak to each other but I held her in my arms whilst she mourned her mothers death like it happened yesterday. I hated seeing her like this. I wished I wasn't as helpless as I was at that moment. The silence was horrid but I knew this meant a lot to her so I kept my mouth firmly closed.

It started to get dark so we booked into a hotel and slept there. We barely spoke but that was understandable and I didn't want to force her to speak.

"I'll take the couch," she said. I realised there was only one bed.

"Darling don't be stupid, we've done a lot more than sleep in the same bed and you know it," I replied, lifting the duvet up so she could get in.

I pulled her head into my chest and she fell asleep as I played with her hair.

Raven's POV

I woke up, still cradled in Loki's arms. It took me a minute to realise where I was and then a whole wave of emotions came over me. I could remember my mothers grave. The accident. Her lifeless body being carried away on a stretcher.

Loki must've felt my panic as he held me tighter and started playing with my hair again. He always knew how to calm me down. I could also tell that he hadn't crept into my mind. I was glad he had some boundaries.

"You alright, my darling?" he asked me. His morning voice made me melt. Honestly I was a puddle at his voice.

"I'm better," I said as I started drawing shapes on his chest.

We laid in bed for a few more minutes before I got up to get ready. It was going to be shit. I knew it from the minute I woke up. The only good part was getting to sleep next to greaseball.

The weather was nice too so we decided to go to London and go on the London and all the tourist crap. Asgard is so much better than this but earth is... cosy. We were also going to complete our shopping list today so that was fun. I made us some bacon and eggs and then we left.

"My darling, I feel like we should lift our spirits and go on an adventure. We might even find a good sword wrap in India," Loki said. It sounded nice.

"Sure, but I want to get the tea and biscuits first," I told him.

"Of course," he agreed.
