A few days after the bank robbery, and the failed bomb explosion, Kyraila was all over the news. Well 'The Golden Lady' was all over the news, the hostages heard the man obviously speak the title he had given her, and it stuck with them and the press. Even on television Kyraila was unrecognisable. But Kyraila had other pressing matters to attend too. The person she saw on the television within the bank, was the person she knew from long ago, though she had to make sure, after all she was an Agent...
Kyraila sat in her New York apartment, it was an apartment complex shared with many other people. Men, women, children, all families and she's grown to like them. A file sat on the table in front of her, it was a S.H.I.E.L.D file of the one and only... Captain America. Of course she had already read through the top secret file, but she still couldn't believe he was alive. She made peace with James's death a long time ago, but Steve was alive and yet hope filled her heart. Kyraila did as much as Peggy to keep his memory alive, to honour it and mainly this drove Kyraila to protect innocent people. But that drive to protect was buried deep within her, it was engraved into her bones, into her mind. It was a natural instinct. Steve just brought it out of the shadows.
Kyraila leaned forward, using her fingers to open the file and pull out a picture of Steve - a picture of black and white, before his transformation, before his whole life changed for the better. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of him being back, but she couldn't just turn up out of the blue and expect him to be cool with her sudden appearance. After his 'death' Peggy and her carry on like the brave women they are, they focused their attention to help the SSR. But Steve was never far from their thoughts, and neither was James.
After staring a little longer at Steve, she placed the photo back inside the S.H.I.E.L.D file. As within that file were more than just a picture, it was reports on where they found his body, where they put him after thawing him out. Kyraila needed to know the truth about it all, and she got it.
Kyraila glanced up from the table to the television and simply waved her hand over it, and suddenly it switched on by magic. The local news was on, it was in the middle of showing Kyraila leading the hostages from the bank out into the street, safe. The headline was calling her a hero, and named her 'The Golden Lady', it was quite a name, and she would have to get used to it. Though five-thousand years of names seemed to catch on very easily with her...
Was she ready for what is to come? For questions that needed the truthful answer, not some lie. Or will she charade as 'The Golden Lady' a tad bit longer?
