It's been about seven months since finding the truth about Steve. It's been difficult trying to stay away from him, I had the urge to go see - but it always ended up with me backing out. I wasn't the type of person to be scared of confronting a man about myself; about who I was. I did it several times in the past, with men and women I trusted. But why did telling Steve feel different, was it because he was being watched by S.H.I.E.L.D or was it the fact that I lived the lie for the better part of seventy years? Seven months was a long time. I helped here and there, aiding my services where I was needed the most. It kept my mind busy, kept my mind off Steve and wanting to go see him after this long...

I was already dressed for the day, finding my outfit comfortable, and it came along way since the start of my life. I waltzed around the apartment, coming out into the spacious living room. I walked over to the tanned leather couch, but before I could sit - a blaring ringing sound echoed from my back jeans pocket. I pulled the phone free from my pocket, finding the logo and name 'S.H.I.E.L.D' on the front of the screen. I answered the phone as it was going to be important.

"We need you to come in," Phil Colson's voice through the phone - it was soft and pleasant to hear.

"Guess this isn't a personal call Phil?" I retorted back to him, gaining a small chuckle from the other end of the line.

"Not today... Fury wants to see you," Phil instructed, meaning the director of S.H.I.E.L.D wants to see little old me. This wasn't anything new, after getting the file from the organisation, I put it back. When I said 'put it back' I appeared in front of Fury and offered my services, giving him the smallest detail of myself possible. But I also made a personal promise a few decades ago when the organisation was founded that if anything major came up, I would come to the aid. To their knowledge I was just 'The Golden Lady' a name that was catchy.

"Couldn't he call me himself?" I questioned, as if he wanted me personally, he would have made the call himself.

"He's busy," Phil only replied. "I imagine you know your way back," through the phone, I felt him smirk at his comment.

"See you soon, Philly," I joked with him, before ending the line, the call disconnected as I shoved the phone back into my jean pocket. But I needed to change into my armour...

..........................

Kyraila held Steve's S.H.I.E.L.D file in her golden gauntlet hand, before flourishing her free, none gloved hand into the air, before green smoke crawled up her beautiful physique. The smoke soon vanished from her body, and her sights were on the back of a fully leathered man, she was standing in a massive control room. Men and women were all around, tending to consoles, some were tending to multiple ones. In front of the fully leathered man, was a rounded tale, chairs dotted around it. Kyraila glanced down to see she was standing on a see-through floor, as if she was standing in an observatory - she could also see they were thousands of feet up.
