💋Cecily💋After an dropping half of Teseo's grandparents groceries on the foyer right in front of him, I had collected everything up and scurried off into the kitchen as he sat down with Josephine.
Mother eyed me as soon as I set everything down on the counter. "Put it away and mind your own business!" She whispered, snapping her fingers in front of my face.
I swatted her hand away and rolled my eyes. "I am minding my own business!" I lied, beginning to put away everything where it went, freezing when I could hear the deep and alluring voice of Teseo, speaking so tenderly to his grandmother.
I really wanted to hear what Josephine was lecturing about, trying my hardest to put everything away that I needed to, closest to where I could hear, silently celebrating when mom finally left the kitchen.
I quickly hid next to the kitchen doorframe, eavesdropping out of sight only to hear an eruption of laughter come from Teseo, as if Ms Josephine had said the funniest of jokes.
"I don't think I have ever heard Mr Elias laugh before." I jumped with fright and spun around to my mothers crossed arms.
"I literally just wanted to know what was so funny, I promise!" I defended, staring into her unamused eyes. I brushed her off and went back to putting away the groceries.
"Why do you think he's such an ass?" I asked, upon hearing the door slamming, indicating that Teseo had left.
She gasped and gently slapped my arm, not in punishment but in disbelief of what came out of my mouth.
I giggled while she rolled her eyes. "He's not an ass, Cecily. I think he's been through far more then any human should have to go through, not that I know his story but his eyes, they are so dull and shattered; something terrible happened to him once, I can just feel it..." she frowned but quickly shook it off and returned to preparing ingredients for dinner.
"Hey, I forgot something in the car!" I told her and rushed out the front door. Nurses have intuition that many do not have, they have to immediately connect with people and are masters at reading body language, my mother always knew when there was something wrong, she could see it in the eyes of everybody she encountered.
For some reason, she was scared of whatever she saw in Teseo Elias' eyes, I on the other hand was completely taken and intrigued by them.
I quickly collected the bags from my trunk just as Teseo was backing out of his garage, I did wonder where he was going, mom said that he worked at night, clearly that wasn't always the case.
When our eyes met, I saw that shattered dull look in his eyes but they also burned with fury and murderous hatred which I felt directed at me, stilling me in my place as he nearly stared me down.
I mustered the courage to smile at him, lifting a hand to wave him off, which he ignored. Once he was out of sight I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Still convinced that you are a mega womanizing asshole, Teseo Elias!" I said out loud to him, of course when he couldn't hear nor see me, I didn't have a death wish.
After I finished putting everything away for mom, I went to sit down with Ms Josephine, I really wanted to pick her brains about her grandson.
