Defeat

As Ladybug quietly remained in her hiding spot, Chat waited for her signal. He hung his head low, in order to deceive his enemies in hopes to give the girl a bit of extra time in order to conjure up a miraculous plan of action.

Although the feline was feeling rather anxious about everything, he had no other choice but to trust his partner. Not once had she failed in battle, but Hawkmoth had undeniably gotten stronger within the last couple of weeks. He just hoped that Ladybug was prepared for it.

As his father and his ex best friend continued to throw terrible insults at the unresponsive male, Chat Blanc slightly glaced up at her. As their eyes instinctively met, she gave him a wink to signify that it was time.

What felt like an eternity, eventually came to an unexpected end, when the brave spotted, hero suddenly jumped ontop of Viperfox. As gravity pulled her toned body towards the ground, she made sure to aim her attack correctly.

Because the snake-like villain was unsuspecting, the blow to his head was excruciatingly painful. He was knocked down almost instantly.

Thinking fast, the superheroine immediately ripped the snake miraculous right off of its holder. She didn't have time to retrieve both the fox and the snake miraculous, but the latter option was her number one priority. It's power was greater than that of the fox, and due to that Solem reason, she decided that it was best to take it.

Even though Viperion was still transformed and unconscious, Ladybug feared that Hawkmoth would take it for himself.

The minute she had the snake miraculous locked away in the safety of her magic yo-yo, Hawkmoth's rage began to show itself. Now that he knew he was loosing, Hawkmoth wouldn't back down without a fight.

As the middle-aged man began to sprint towards his own son, Chat's heart began to aggressively pound within the confinement of his chest cavity. He needed to get out of those chains. And now that his number one threat was finally down, he knew what to do.

"Cataclysm!" The teen aggressively yelled.

It only took a split second for the chains to disintegrate into dust. Finally, he was free!

Not stopping, the fearless young man took his baton and used it as a weapon. His father was ruthless: he wouldn't even think of stopping. All he cared about was getting his wife back, no matter the cost!

As the fight between father and son continued, the bistander automatically knew that she needed to intervene. Because Hawkmoth now also possessed the peacock miraculous, it was becoming increasingly more difficult to stop him.

"Just surrender Hawkmoth, you're never going to win!" Ladybug yelled out in anger and frustration.

The supervillian merely laughed, "You think I'm just going to give up? I didn't spend the past six years doing this for nothing, just so that I can surrender... I will never give up on my Emily. Even if I have to die a thousand times over, I will never quit!"

Those words really got Ladybug thinking. Hawkmoth's whole purpose of terrorising the entire city and using his own, dear son as bait was to hopefully bring back his dead wife. One thing's for sure, he surely did love her. But at what cost?

Ladybug's firey expression softened a little, "I know that you loved her very much, but this is completely pointless! Because you're so incredibly selfish, you've lost everything, including your own son!"

"Just shut up! You have no idea what you're talking about," he yelled while firing another punch in her direction.

That made the anger deep within Chat's soul intensify. He could no longer control himself, as the Akuma once again took control of his body. His eye twitched as he clenched his jaw shut.
