Cataclysm

The golden hue of the liquid sun transcended into a bright orange, as the afternoon faded into dusk. The orange light shone down upon the black cat, highlighting his rage-filled eyes.

With darkness surrounding his cold heart, his eyes had locked upon a red silhouette. He watch her every movement as she stood around crowds of people as they thanked her for saving them from the unforgiving eyes of death.

In silence he anxiously waited for the right moment to strike.

Within no time, the crowd had scattered, leaving behind a vulnerable ladybug. She smiled and waved goodbye to a little boy as he was carried away in the arms of his protector.

Like a fierce lion, a soft growl had quickly turned into a ferocious roar. The fire in his eyes burned as his pupils morphed into inhuman slits.

As time slowed down to a standstill, his breath misted the icy air that lingered around him. He shut his eyes as his jaw clenched tight.

Within lightning speed, he had left his place of hiding, and found his way over to her. Ladybug was unaware of what was happening behind her and instantly became a victim to his spiteful antics.

It only took a second for her body's position to change completely. Her arms were pinned to her sides as she stared into those dull eyes that concealed so much guilt.

Her lip quivered as she struggled against his powerful grip.

As his grip tightened around her slender arms, she relaxed ever so slightly. There was no use trying to struggle. She would patiently wait for a single hint of weakness, and then she would strike back.

With his hands still wrapped around her, he gave her a cocky smile and said, "Well hello M'Lady. What a pleasant surprise it is to meet you here."

She ignored his failed attempts of seduction as she merely rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"W-what's that?" She tried to sound as convincing as possible.

He fell for it, and turned around.

It only took a second for his distracted mind to become a victim to Ladybug's intelligence.

With his head turned to the heavens, his grip weakened against her arms. She immediately threw him off of her. She knelt on the ground as he lay on his back. Not wasting a single second more, she rose to her feet and tightened her hands into fists, ready for battle.

It took a moment for Chat to mimic her movements. Together they stood on the battlefield, fists in the air while they waited for the first strike to hit.

"I don't want to hurt you, Ladybug. Surrender, or wish you were never born!" There was the smallest ounce of regret in his voice.

She looked to him as her eyes turned to anger, "You know I'll never do that! So why even suggest that!?"

Before he could even reply, his jaw was knocked out of place. Instantly, a cold metallic taste rushed over his taste buds as he brought his hand to his throbbing chin.

His lips parted as he looked at her with complete shock.

"Are you finally done, or are you thirsty for more!?"

Chat hesitated before he raced towards her. His eyes narrowed and his breath hitched.

The wind carried his trembling legs as he jumped into the polluted atmosphere, only to once again land on solid ground as gravity made him beg for mercy.
