He stood alone as water droplets fell from the heavens. First a single drop fell and then all at once, dozens raced down his tear stained face as he hopelessly looked over the city of love without a single drop of compassion resonating within the deepest depths of his broken soul.

He watched as families huddled together, running away from the harmless water as if it were poison. Deep down he understood. Although those drops were harmless, they were able to chase thousands away. He had never related to anything so deeply in his entire life.

To the world he was nothing and he had never mattered. He blended in with the night as people looked right passed him. They hurried away from his darkening figure in fear that he would hurt them like the monster he was.

One little girl looked into his dark eyes and screamed when he took a single step towards her. The fear that came from looking at his bruised body sent shivers down her spine as she backed away from him.

He gave her a small smile and tried to near her. Before he could take another step forward, he was violently struck by pieces of icy metal.

A middle aged man grabbed the child's arm and pulled her away from the black figure.

As individuals scattered the area, Chat Noir was left for dead.

The wind howled maliciously as it blew over the villain's broken body. The skies darkened and the rain strengthened.

His inner despair only grew as he lay helpless on the hard, cold ground. His eyes slowly opened as he acquired the last ounce of strength that he could muster and he miraculously managed to stand to his feet.

When he was once again left alone, he raised his head up to the heavens and let out a desperate cry for help. His hands tightened into fists of fury as he banged them against an abandoned building.

His knees buckled under his own weight and he slipped to the ground. He fell into a puddle of water. He wasn't sure if it was rain drops or tears, but he didn't care.

No one cared about him anyway. He let himself fade away until all that remained was nothing but a shell.

He was numb and nothing could thaw the cold that relentlessly consumed his desperate soul.

The storm that surrounded him was nothing compared to the never-ending emotional storm that lingered inside of him.

He let the water trail over his bare skin as one tear slowly fell from his tear ducts. Timeless moments had passed as his hopelessness was left untainted.

He once again searched the dark skies for a single ray of sunlight, hoping to find even the slightest hint of hope. But it never came.

He

Was

Alone.
