Please, don't leave me!

As the dark of the night overpowered the light, a certain black cat hid behind the shadows.

His eyes gazed over the city of Paris, just staring into the nothingness that stood before him. The only audible sound that could be heard, was the deep tranquil atmosphere that rested beside him.

He smiled as he felt a sense of happiness rise from within his tainted spirit. It was all very new to him, but he was slowly beginning to understand these very mysterious, indescribable emotions.

The evening sky was polluted by various amounts of unnatural light, giving the ever so black atmosphere a rather dull persona. However the tiny patch that remained undisturbed, was scattered with thousands of tiny golden lights.

The starry painting that rested above him was perfect. Times like these made the unlucky teenager focus of all his attention on the things that made him happy.

Tonight was different somehow. All he could think about was various shades of blue.

Blue like the feeling that came with seeing his mother dying in his arms when he was but twelve years of age. Or the ever so blue sky that was now currently painted black. Or perhaps it was the rich blue of the sparkling ocean of mysterious wonder found deep within Marinette's bluebell eyes.

It had to be the latter option, as she was the only one able to make him feel that way.

Every past doubt, fear and misunderstanding had instantly been replaced by love, peace and clarity.

It didn't matter that he was once an imperfect son. It also didn't matter that his alterego was frowned upon by the world. The only thing that mattered was that he had his Princess.

As midnight was soon approaching, the temperature had dropped below freezing point. Chat hugged himself as an icy breeze struck his exposed skin.

He didn't want to leave this glorious artwork unattended, but he needed to get out of the icy weather before he caught a cold.

He got up and started to head in the direction of his new accommodation.

The world seemed lost in an unknown dimension of indescribable uncertainty. One moment he was a young child living a fairly normal life, and the next, he was a child who grew up in a day.

The blond stopped for a moment to watch the noisy crowd that had recently caught his attention. The whole thing brought him back to a few years ago when he watched his father morph into someone unrecognizable.

A mere ten feet away from his hidden figure stood a father and son. The young boy held onto his cheek while he sobbed profusely.

Chat could feel the boy's pain, as he remembered the way his own father did the exact same thing to him. Life surely was unfair sometimes.

As the supervillain took a single step forward, he stopped. As he turned around in the direction of an unnatural screech, his heart instantly sunk.

It was pitch black in the alley, but Chat knew something was seriously wrong. In an instant, the little boy was of no importance, and he was left forgotten in the back of Chat's mind.

Chat needed to check up on the distressed victim, before it was too late.

Who he was, was of no importance. The only thing that mattered was the fact that someone needed help, and he would not hesitate to assist as best he could.

As he stood on the rooftop looking down, he used his night vision. He quickly browsed the scene, trying to obtain any clues as to whom he would soon be dealing with.
