Heroic Supervillain
A beautiful golden hue illuminated the bedroom as Adrien sat on his bed lost in thought. He kept thinking back to all the wonderful past moments that he had spent with his new friend.
His mind was racing. He felt different somehow... It was almost as if for the first time in his entire life, he was no longer just surviving, but actually living.
He couldn't understand it, and that drove him insane.
His tormenting thoughts were suddenly interrupted. As his mind slowly began to enter reality, he caught a glimpse of his little black companion.
"... Hungry." The sarcastic kwami whined.
Adrien remained quiet for a moment, before he could completely comprehend what was happening.
"Huh? Did you say something?"
The cat-like kwami moved over to where Adrien was sitting, and crossed his tiny arms, "I said... I'm hungry... No wait. Starving! It's been hours since my last meal, and now I'm wasting away..."
Adrien raised an eyebrow, "Seriously Plagg... You literally ate ten minutes ago. There's absolutely no way that you could possibly be hungry."
"Well for your information, Mr 'knows everything about a Kwami's appetite', the food that you gave me was completely inedible. I need something proper. Something like..." Plagg's complaining subsided for just a moment as he thought about what he wanted, "Camembert!"
Adrien was fed up with Plagg's demands and rolled his eyes in annoyance. He merely reached for some stinky cheese and handed it to his Kwami.
Plagg was silent as he began to munch on his delicious Camembert.
Adrien sat by his desk as he continued to stare into the unrelenting void of melancholy. As the realization crashed upon his fragile mind, his last ounce of happiness was immediately stripped from its resting place.
She loves someone else...
He could feel his heart physically ache. She was perfect, but she wasn't his perfect. Her heart belonged to another, and that was difficult to accept.
But despite everything, Adrien still felt the smallest fraction of hope; deep within his soul. Her heart didn't belong to him, but she was still his friend...
She was the most important person in his life, and he wanted to do something special for her. He wanted her to realize what an amazing person she truly was.
What can I get her...?
"Purrrhaps you could buy her flowers or chocolates? Women usually go nuts over that kind of stuff."
"You heard that?" Adrien mentally facepalmed, "Well I suppose that could work... But it has to be something special."
"So... Chocolates aren't special enough for her?" Plagg questioned sarcastically.
"It's not that... It's just... It's hard to explain," The blond looked defeated as he hopelessly tried to think of something.
After a few seconds, Plagg spoke up, "Well, your girl likes fashion and designing..."
"... She's not my girl... But, I think I have an idea! Thanks Plagg, you're the best!"
Plagg snickered, "I know."
Adrien playfully rolled his eyes at his Kwami's sassiness.
A calm silence filled the atmosphere for just a moment. Adrien smiled as an idea popped into his head, but once again his happiness was not meant to last.
