*Tori's POV*
She sat there in silence. She just looked at me like I'm her worst enemy. I took a seat in the chair in front of her.
"Are you shocked or just don't want me here? I can't tell." I asked.
"I don't wanna see you." She answered.
"Okay. I get that.... I contemplated for the longest while what to say to you when I saw you again, and I think I found it... I'm sorry mom, but I'm still your daughter. Last time we spoke I was four. I'm not four anymore, just take a good look at me for once mom, please. Just this one time is all I ask. I know I'm not your favorite and I'm willing accept that but please just look at me." I pleaded with her. After a minute she finally looked at me. Then I pulled the hoodie off of my head letting my hair bounce against my shoulders.
"I'm seventeen, I have your red hair and dad's green eyes, I'm 5'8 and I love to rollerskate and hair styling, I'm struggling to be a straight A students but I'm making it work. On my free time I tutor a kid for free, I try my hardest to follow grandma's rules even though I know she hates me too. I take care of the house and do everything she's supposed to. I love my family and I miss them a lot," I stood up.
"Yet the only thing people see is your red hair on my head, your sins on my face, your burdens on my fate, you mistakes on my hands. But that's okay, I'm used to it, surviving is all that matters even if it means I have to sacrife living. But I'm not you."
"You're definitely not." She said lowly.
"Yeah I'm not, because despite what you ruin, despite what you say, despite how you look at me, despite all of it. I still love you. So mom, that's my personality, how I grew up, my hobbies and thirteen years of my life condensed into three minutes." She wiped a tear that escaped her eyes, I turned around, pull up my hoddie and left for the car.
*Tommy's POV*
"So... That's it?" Bella sighed. "Thirteen yours and all you could say to her was that you don't want her here?!"
"She asked."
"Okay! You could've told her you didn't expect to see her or something. You love lying but this one time you couldn't even lie?"
"Honesty is the best policy Tommy."
"Yeah that's rich coming from you," I rolled my eyes. "All these years and you had nothing nice to say to her, let alone anything at all."
"Where's your wife Tommy?"
"Not here." I turned around closing the door behind me. I left the building to see Tori sitting in the car on her phone. I climbed into the car with a sigh.
"Are you okay?" She nodded staring out the window. "I'm sorry I just-"
"It's okay dad, it's not your fault. It was a great idea but I-I.... I'm just not good enough for her."
"You're more than good enough for me Tori. Believe it or not she does love you-" She cut me off.
"Please don't lie to me. She could never find in her heart to love nor forgive me, I'm just the mistake she wished she got rid of."
"Tori-"
"Can we please just go to the mall?" I nodded and started the car. We drove back uptown until we got to the mall. We walked inside and her eyes lit up, it was the happiest I saw her since the roller skating rink.
