*later that day*

*Torisa's POV*

It's been a long week. A long life. A long everything. Funny I say that because neither of those started yet. My life nor my week. I just...

"Hey Tori!" Someone yelled my name.

"Oh hey Max, what's up?" I turned around from my car door as he came running up to me.

"First off. Happy Wednesday." I chuckled.

"Thanks."

"Okay now, I need your help... Again. This essay is kicking my ass." I chuckled.

"I'm sure it is. But I don't know about Saturday, I might go to see my dad."

"Right. You barely get to see your family." I nodded. "Well maybe Friday or Sunday. Whenever you can. It's due next week anyway."

"Sure, I'll call to let you know. Bye."

"Bye." He went back towards the school. I sighed turning back towards my car door to open it and I threw my bag into the passenger seat.

"Hi." I heard an unfamiliar voice. I turned around to see a new face.

"....hello?" I answered skeptically looking around. Then I saw a very ominous looking family car parked across the street.

"I'm John." He stretched out his hand for me to shake and I took it. "Are you by any chance Torisa?" My brows furrowed.

"So what if I am? Who wants to know?" He pointed to the family car and I turned my head slightly.

"My boss." When I looked back at him all I felt was this piercing needle-like feeling in my neck and all of a sudden I got light headed. I've come to terms with being kidnapped but could they at least be gentle? Or I don't know, ask first!?

Last thing I remembered was his face and my keys meeting the ground with a loud jingle before darkness clouded my vision.

"Ugh" I groaned feeling a kink in my neck.

"Are you awake now?" I forcibly opened my eyelids hearing John's voice... If I'm not mistaken.

"I-I think so." I answered with a croaked voice. I tried to move my arms and legs but they were strapped down to the chair I'm sitting in. I tugged at it some more before giving up and letting out a sigh. I looked to my left and there was a little window. I looked through it to realize that it was already nightfall. My brows furrowed with confusion.

"You've been out for about six hours. We were starting to think you were dead." John explains.

"Well... The sedative could've been lighter. What would you expect to accomplish with a sedative like that? I'm still drowsy and numb." I slurred my words a bit.

"The only thing you're worried about is the sedative?" He questioned. I could barely see anything right now and the fact that I can't keep my eyes open aren't helping. "You're so calm for someone who might die." I chuckled weakly.

"You'd be surprised at what little scares me. A-Anyway what do you or y-your 'boss' want?"

"Oh. She's up? Great." I heard a very deep voice boom through the dark room. He entered but again I can't keep my eyes open nor can I see anything because it's so dark. "I just have a few questions sweetheart. You're Isabella Fox's daughter right? Torisa Holland."
