The past few weeks have been the most fun I've had in a long time. Jordan and I practiced we had fun and hilarious fails. I haven't laughed like this in a long time.

"Okay, okay, stop!" I laughed pushing him away playfully.

"What do you mean stop?" He grinned trying to tickle me again.

"I mean that this event is like in a week and a half! We have to get this perfectly done. So we're gonna do it again." He groaned rolling his eyes.

"But we've done it like ten times already," He whined. "Are you always this hard on yourself with everything you do?"

"Mostly." He pulled me into him by my waist.

"You're lucky you're cute." I scoffed.

"Lucky me." I pushed away from him turning around and getting into position right in front of him. I pressed play putting my phone aside quickly before the song start.

A few seconds later Hostage by Billie Eilish started to play.

I wanna be alone. The song started and he trailed his hand up my right arm.

I'll admit I never really worked with a partner for two reasons. One, I liked doing it by myself and two, partnered contemporary dances tend to look more and be more touchy or intimate to showcase more emotion.

So the fact that it's a lot more touchy-feely I wasn't comfortable with anyone to do any of that with... until now.

Either way we ended practice with the last move in our choreo, which is where he wraps his hands around me from behind.

Jordan wasn't much of the flexible type so almost all of his moves except the flips had to be moderated but in the end I think the choreography came out pretty good.

"See, we're good" he panted in my ear behind me before collapsing on the floor.

"I'm sorry, I'm pushing too hard." I apologized said sitting next to him.

"Stop it, you just want to make sure that its perfect for your mom's event I get it," he turned his head in my direction. "But everything isn't gonna be perfect Ara."

"I know but I have to make it perfect or at least try" he sighed.

"I wanna watch a movie. You wanna watch a movie?"

"I can't tonight." He groaned.

"Why?" He complained.

"Well I have a family dinner which—"

"Only happens when there's something that needs to be discussed or your parents have something important to tell you." He finished my explanation and I smiled.

"Yup. Also, I want to avoid the 'who have you been spending so much time with?' question because I don't think anyone would like that answer."

"Ugh! Fine," he he sat up. "So... how are you planning to hide me from your brother?"

"Fuck!" I groaned. I completely forgot about that.

"Don't tell me you forgot."

"Yes I forgot!" I exclaimed.

"Alright calm down. Let's plan this scandal out."

"It's not a scandal."

"But it sure as hell is gonna be mission impossible if he could fucking see me."

"Your right, but what if he can't?" He raised a brow.

"What do you mean?"

"A masquerade ball. If it's masquerade how would he really know?"
