A Haunted Past

"What is it that you are wanting to know if I know?" Sanos's voice called out as he strode through the library to stand next to the Mage that he has bonded with. 

The moment that Naruto heard his Celestial Spirit's voice, he almost jumped from his skin though since he didn't want to cause Sanos any discomfort by seeing him physically distraught by his arrival; Naruto quickly fixed his appearance before turning towards the first spirit that he had bonded with. 

Though Naruto was about to ask Sanos to follow him so they could speak in private, this was quickly dashed away when Oreatina and Asnos appeared before them which caused both Sanos and Naruto to divert their attention to their companions. "We have come to inform you that Kamera will be returning soon. She was successful with her trial and has bonded with a Celestial Spirit." Oreatina informed the pair before vanishing once more. 

Since Naruto now had to go and greet Kamera before he was able to speak with Sanos about what he had been able to learn from reading the journal, Naruto turned back to his first bonded spirit. "Sanos, we will speak with each other once I have finished speaking with Kamera." Naruto informed the Celestial Spirit who nodded along with what Naruto had just told him. 

Making his way towards the central part of the library, Naruto waited for Kamera to arrive and once he spotted her; he was thankful that it didn't take long before she was standing in front of him. Kamera wasn't the only individual to now stand before him, beside her; was a female who looked to be in her teenaged years that had tanned skin. While the hair that adorned this Celestial Spirit's head, was a mixture of black and brown. 

"Congratulations Kamera! It looks like you were able to pass the trial that will grant you membership in our ranks..." Naruto called out after he had finished examining the Celestial Spirit that was before him. "...now if you would grant me the pleasure of an introduction with this spirit, I would be extremely grateful." Naruto informed the pink haired female. 

This seemed to be the trick that Naruto needed to pull Kamera from her own mind and once she was free, her voice started flying through the library. "This is Lupoda." Kamera quickly spoke out as she pointed towards the being that stood beside her. 

Though it was possible that Kamera would have given Naruto's name to the Celestial Spirit as well, this didn't happen since Naruto immediately started speaking the moment that he was given the spirits name. "It is a pleasure to meet you Lupoda. My name is Naruto Kirima and though I am quite young, I am the acting leader of this band of Mages." Naruto informed the newest Celestial Spirit that has joined forces with Naruto and his companions. 

Naruto decided to take a pause in his speaking to give the Celestial Spirit a moment to let the information he had just given her to sink in as well as give her time to speak if she felt like doing so, though after a few moments of silence between them; Naruto turned his attention back to Kamera. "Kamera, I will be wanting the full details on what you have learned about Lupoda at a later time but for now; please make yourself at home within the library since you will be starting to spend a lot of time within this place." Naruto informed the pink haired female that was the newest member of Naruto's band of Mages.

Now with his current business complete with Kamera, Naruto turned towards Sanos where he motioned for him to follow him. Though Naruto thought about leading the Wolf Spirit outside to speak, Naruto thought that it would be better to speak inside and as such; he aimed his body in the direction of the room that he had first met Sanos in.

"This is impossible..." Sanos roared as he read the words on the last page of the journal that Naruto had handed him though the moment that he had finished doing so, the journal went up in flames as Sanos's anger burst from his body in fiery hot rage. 

Even if Naruto didn't fully trust Sanos, he would have known that this spirit's reaction was the truth. "Did you know this Mage that claims to be responsible for your creation in the world and if you did; did Gokuro ever tell you how he found you?" Naruto inquired of the Celestial Spirit that was still clearly enraged at the words he had just read. 

Thankfully, upon hearing his bonded Mage speak; Sanos was able to pull his anger back into his body instead of blowing it out around the room in bursts of flame. Once Sanos had fully calmed himself, his voice flitted through the room. "Yes, I have had the displeasure of knowing the demon riddled human. He was the first Mage that I was ever bonded to and though he was an evil man, he wasn't the worst of the Mages that I served under." Sanos muttered out in words that clearly stated how he felt about the man that they were discussing and though Sanos had paused for a moment to clear the emotions that were gathering within him, his voice was heard once more. "Gokuro claimed that he saw my creators stolen away by another Guild of Mages that were located in what I believe you call the Land of Lightning. Though after I was trained by him to become what I am today, Gokuro used me to destroy this band of Mages as well as their training center within that foreign land and then tossed me away which I ended up killing him for." Sanos explained. 

As Naruto listened to the history between Sanos and Gokuro, he noticed that Sanos's words didn't disprove that Gokuro was the one that created him. "For all we know, Gokuro lied to you so he could use your anger to destroy those that have stolen the beings that created you. We could always test out what was written within the journal to see if it is possible to create a Celestial Spirit in the way that Gokuro claimed." Naruto responded. 

Though Naruto didn't want Sanos to think that he was the same as Gokuro, he did believe that having the knowledge to create additional spirits could be useful especially since he wasn't sure how many were within the library to start with. 

Naruto watched as Sanos looked at him for a brief moment as if he was the enemy that he always believed him to be; though just as quickly as this expression appeared, it vanished which left Naruto feeling slightly hurt. "I am sorry Naruto...all of this is bringing up memories that I have buried long ago though following what you suggested is probably the only way that we will find out if Gokuro was lying to himself or to me." Sanos explained as he once again shook the anger away from his mind. 

Though Naruto could still feel the sting of Sanos's look, he decided that it would be best to move past it. "Very well, if you could bring a pitcher of water to this room; I will get the preparations ready to start the experiment." Naruto informed Sanos before turning from the Wolf Spirit and making his way further into the room that they were within.
