An Experiment of their Own

By the time that Sanos had returned from retrieving the item that Naruto had requested; he saw that the Mage he worked with has already finished with the design that he thought they needed to complete this experiment. The design in question was similar to the one that Naruto had drawn when he walked through the rift between worlds and though Sanos was fascinated by the design he wasn't sure what they would be needing it for.

"I have brought what you requested Naruto..." Sanos called out as he made his way through the room to the center where Naruto was standing. Once he had gotten Naruto's attention, Sanos was speaking once more. "...though I don't want to make you feel as if your artwork here is a waste of time. I don't quite understand why you have drawn such a design upon the floor." Sanos explained as he sat the pitcher of water that he had brought down upon the ground.

The second that the pitcher of water touched the ground, Naruto was moving towards it and the moment that he held it within his hand; he sat it within the center of the design he had crafted. Once this was done, Naruto decided that it would be time to answer Sanos on the reason he had placed the design. "Since Celestial Spirits are beings that are born of magic, I have crafted this design to feed mana into the items that we will be placing within it. Over a course of the next six months, this design will feed my mana into the being that we are trying to create and hopefully this will result in a success." Naruto explained as he was starting to ready the next batch of items he wanted to place within the diagram.

Though Sanos still wasn't understanding the full need for the design, he decided that he would leave the magic to Naruto and was just about to make his exit from the room when suddenly he felt a few pieces of his hair get pulled from his head. "What in the blazes was that for?" Sanos growled as he turned back towards his Mage who was feeding the hair that he had just stolen into the pitcher of water.

Even though Sanos could tell that Naruto had heard him, his Mage didn't respond right away since he was busy slashing a small knife across the palm of his hand. Seeing this, Sanos almost intervened since he wasn't sure what Naruto was doing. Though before Sanos was able to move to stop Naruto from harming himself; he watched as Naruto allowed his blood to drop into the water.

Once this was done, Naruto clasped his free hand with the bloody one. After pulling mana towards his hands, Naruto whispered out a spell. "Healing Touch!"

Now that his wound has been healed, Naruto stood up from where he was crouching so he could speak with Sanos once more. "Within the journal, it stated that we need at least two biological compounds which is why I have used my blood and strands of your hair. Now all we have to do to complete the experiment is to feed my mana into the design which I am thinking will take some time to complete." Naruto informed his companion before turning his attention back to the design he stood in front of.

Crouching down next to it, Sanos watched as Naruto began feeding his mana into the design. Since Sanos didn't want to distract his Mage from what he was doing; he thought that it would be best if he left the room to leave Naruto to the finishing touches of the experiment.

The next morning Hikaru was woken by the sound of high pitched screaming. For a moment, Hikaru was unsure what could be causing the noise though just as he was about to lay his head back on the pillow; he remembered that Remi and himself were not the only children within the Namikazi-Uzumaki residence any longer.

As Hikaru was throwing himself from his bed, he happened to look towards the clock to see that he was only an hour away from when he would have had to wake up for the Academy. Knowing that there would be little point to risk oversleeping, Hikaru made his way across the floor of his room so he could exit through the doorway.

The moment that he was out of his room, he made his way towards the room that his parents had set up for the new baby. Since it wasn't far from his own, Hikaru was able to make it to his destination in no time and once he was there; he was quickly entering the room.

Within a few short steps, Hikaru was standing over the crib that contained the newest member of their family. Though none of them were expecting him to be already at home since his original due date had only passed the previous day, the baby had chosen to come a month earlier and though they were all concerned about the baby's health due to be born so early; the Doctor who helped deliver the newest member of their family had confirmed that nothing seemed to be out of the normal.

Reaching into the crib, Hikaru took hold of the infant that was clearly going through some emotional turmoil though what that was; Hikaru hadn't had a clue of. As the red haired boy brought the infant to his chest so he could give the youngest member of his family some comfort, he was reminded of one of his other siblings since this newest one also happened to resemble them more than the others within the household.

Upon the male infant's head was blond hair and though he didn't contain the whisker marks that adorned his three older siblings; the blue eyes that stare at everything in sight were a remarkable resemblance to Naruto's own.

Though Hikaru was reminded of his missing sibling every time that he looked at the infant, he wasn't assaulted by the same feelings that he used to be every time that he thought of Naruto since to him; it felt as if he had another chance to save the brother that had went missing.

As Hikaru moved his body in a swaying motion so he could get his baby brother back to sleep, he started whispering words of comfort to the infant within his arms. "Its alright Kozen...everything is going to be just fine."

Similar to another that bears his genetic code, Naruto too was woken by a loud noise echoing through the room that he had fallen asleep within. Looking back to find the cause of the noise, Naruto saw that Sanos had appeared within the room which sent the memories of the night before rushing back into his mind.

Turning back to where he had drawn the design with such speed that cracking could be heard coming from his neck; Naruto saw that design that he had drawn was replaced by a portal similar to the one that he had used to travel to Fiore. Seeing this, Naruto almost had his hopes dashed that this experiment would be a success though when he saw that the objects that he had placed within it hadn't fallen through the portal; his hope began to build once more. "This has to mean that the experiment was a success..." Naruto spoke out and since he wasn't speaking all that quietly, Sanos was able to hear the words that he had spoken.

"I believe that you are correct in that notion Naruto." Sanos called out as he made his way through the room that used to house him for centuries for Naruto released him from his prison. "I am sorry that I ever doubted that you would be able to pull this off even if it was on the basis of the knowledge that Gokuro had discovered." Sanos spoke out once more once he arrived next to Naruto.

As Naruto pushed himself to his feet, he watched as the portal pulsated with the mana that he had fed into it and with this pulse; he could see that the objects that were placed within it were in fact being given the mana that Naruto had intended for it. "I wonder what kind of Celestial Spirit this will become...though I guess we won't be able to find out until we return from the job that the Fire Daimyo hired me for." Naruto muttered out as he prepared to leave the room.

Though before he was able to take a step, Sanos's voice came out once more. "That is something that I wish to discuss with you. I feel that I should stay behind to watch over this soon to be Celestial Spirit to ensure that no harm can fall over it..." Sanos informed his Mage and since he has had plenty of bad Mages in the past; he cut off his words to prepare for a reprimand for suggesting what he did.

Knowing that Sanos must be going through an inner turmoil due to his past, Naruto felt that it would be best to respond sooner than later. "That is a wise idea Sanos. I will be counting on you." Naruto replied before finally making his way out of the room.
