Dreaming of another time. Another place. A different version of...herself.

Liliana was told to spend the rest of the night playing the harp, to entertain Vlad's regular guests. She had heard her cousin was a tough person to please but not being allowed to take a restroom break or get something to drink, seemed a bit extreme. No one seemed to wish to stop him or even bring the subject up. Her opinion, of Vlad Dracula, was slipping to how she could get out of his home as soon as possible.

It was past midnight when Lana was permitted to head to her chambers. The young noble woman managed to find some leftovers from the dinner. Her stomach was beyond growling but hurting. Lana now feared her cousin was still up and around. He had been drinking quite a bit and the thought of him drunk, curled her toes in a bad way.

She took a sigh of relief that she made it to her room before the prince reached his quarters. He had begun to have a strange look in his eye of someone that has decided they covet an object all for themselves. First she was worthless to him but now he showed a dark interest?

Her father had warned her.

Her thoughts were jarred away by a loud banging on her door. Liliana's heart dropped into her stomach. She could see a shadow under the door and it appeared to be her distant cousin Vlad. He wanted something and it couldn't be good either.

"Vlada do not make me wait..." he loudly demanded, as if the door didn't separate them.

What was she going to do?

Deny his visit to her room?

Maybe he only wanted to talk about tomorrow or a banquet?

Lana quickly moved to her door and opened it but only a crack. "Yes Voivode Dracula?"

Vlad's face was unreadable due to his level of being drunk. Liliana's instincts told her, it wasn't a good thing. She just wanted to be invisible and forgotten by her distantly (third) related cousin.

"I demand a word with you..." Vlad coldly expressed.

"Yes of course Voivode Dracula...'' She opened the door more, to seem more receptive but not enough, for the prince to step in.

Dracula slammed his fist against the door causing Lana to jerk away from the door and step further, into her chambers. He entered then slammed the door shut. No one would come to her rescue now behind closed doors.

"From now on you will play for my amusement, anytime day or night...." he stated taking a long step towards her.

"You have quite talented fingers and my guests were enamoured with you," his breath smells of red wine. "I will not let such an ability go unused. A talent to help my visitors let their guard down."

"That was never my intention Sir!" Liliana remarked quickly.

Vlad stepped closer," Do not interrupt me again! I will put a greased pole through you, family or not!"

Liliana nodded her head quickly to show she understood. In this nervous state, she pulled her bottom lip between her teeth. The prince lets out a sort of annoyed grunt. It cements his next course of action.

"I also am appointing you as my personal assistant. As your first order of business is you will assist with my bathing..."

Liliana felt her cheeks get warm. "Voivode Dracula, people will say I am not fit for a wife."

Dracula raised a finger. She interrupted him once more. His eyes shone with anger and something else. Liliana is too busy trying to back up from her distant relative.
